I've decided to unlock this thread but if I see any more ridiculous arguments, people will be banned. If another troll appears, alert the comment (or PM a member of staff) and don't reply to it.

Seriously, just don't.

Josine (1 day ago) #19180463There's also Figuya [ext link ] ,Yorokonde [ext link ] and Anime-Figuren [ext link ] :)
Good find! And they even have the Aoba figure :) I'll wait until the release dates stated on both sites to see if they can guarantee the figure after. If they do I might just cancel my order with Archonia and buy from them instead. (They are almost 20€ cheaper too)

Shiro-Marusu (1 day ago) #19180437Within Europe you don't have to pay customs or double taxes, so it's pretty safe. If you're interested, I found a french store called iXu Deviance ([ext link ]) and an English store called AnimUK ([ext link ]) that I'm keeping an eye on. I pre ordered the "free! starting days figure" from AnimUK so perhaps I can let you know how that goes by that time. I don't know exactly how they handle everything yet, but I have found no negative reviews on them and their prices seem to be lower than Archonia's.

AkiKitazawa (1 day ago) #19180388Yeah Archonia is expensive. They grew more expensive over the years too. I don't check other European shops so I don't know about those. But I went with them because it would cost me exactly the same if I ordered it directly from Japan. And it does feel safer for me too as I live in the same country as them. I don't have to worry about the package when it's being shipped.

Shiro-Marusu (1 day ago) #19176496I figured as much with the shipping, but was hesitant to say anything about it before I knew more. I feel like the low cost shipping does not justify archonia's current price tags. I'm paying just as much as I would have had I imported it from Japan with double tax + customs + handling fees and fast EMS shipping. The only reason I ordered from archonia instead is because it felt safer somehow. I already found other European shops that sell the same figures for up to 40€(!) cheaper. The Aoba is not among them sadly, but I'll be looking out for those alternatives for now with any other figures.

theyasminshow (3 days ago) #19114601Er, yes. You're waiting for the product to reach where it's being sold from (US, EU, etc), and then shipped to you from there. In order to keep costs low for this process, the cheapest methods of transport are used from Japan to the shop's location - think shipping by boat, which takes several months.
The alternative would be too costly. If they paid to have all those heavy, huge Aobas shipped via EMS and then redistributed, you're looking at a giant price tag.
I'm sorry for everyone who's still waiting, but understand this is how the process works.

It's almost Mid march now , I'm going to tweet to EoA, about the orders for this figurine
I did ask them about any delays since the figure was going to be delayed until January. They told me no delays. But if they did have a delay it would probably be released by the end of April (which is hell month for me, because of conventions, paying off some bills & birthdays)

talking about this, what about sites like TOM that have a warehouse in Japan? ;o I was thinking about this earlier so I thought I'd ask

Shipping costs half of Aoba's asking price because the US store I ordered from used EMS to ship him from Japan so yeah.

Shiro-Marusu (3 days ago) #19112817But I don't really get how ordering directly from native is much faster no matter where you live? Or am I wrong in this? Is there an intentional delay for stores?

AkiKitazawa (5 days ago) #19072224Yeah I did. I'm used to a 1-2 month delay from them. This is the first time it gets delayed that much which is indeed ridiculous. They can't help it sadly as they are dependent on Native themselves.
