I've just got this, and i have to say that im a little disappointed. He's too small! I think he iron man should reach up to just below his shoulder.

Found a comparison shot of the figuarts and the revoltech on Reddit:

I'm so glad I went with the revoltech version.

For those still wondering about the differences in sculpt between the two Ultron's:

I want Ultron but his price is a hard pill to swallow if I take it.

Why the hell is he so expensive? I can understand that the licensing probably cost a pretty penny but goddamn man, the Avengers that came out didn't cost nearly as much.

Unfortunately, it looks like the store I order from is also buckling down with having the new Tamashii policy by requiring immediate payment as well.

Ugh, I decided to get him.

Admittedly, I'm more curious to compare him to the Marvel Legends figure and the upcoming Revoltech.

Skinny, no accessories, no effect parts, ugly sculpt. That's a piece of shit. I prefer my LEGO version.

Oh goodness. Have to say, not a fan of what Bandai is doing with this figure. I'm not sure if it is really concept art, or they took the picture at really awkward angle, I just don't like how it look right now. The head is a bit big and the height is a tad smaller than I want it to be. Being a Web Exclusive will bother other people, but by now I got used to it, however the date kind of bothers me a little more. Another major letdown is the lack of accessories as it is only going to come with hands which is less than Hulks. I'm not asking much, he should come with an energy beam effect part like this one kaiju.wdfiles.c... to differentiate itself from other Ultron figure. The lack of diecast is little irritating considering you expect the same quality or more than Ironman as the metal Ultron is made out in movie is pretty rare. Overall, it looks like a complete downgrade from the prototype one we see from Wonder Fest. But I can be wrong, it might be different in person and we need more pictures of it from more future Tamashii event.

Alastor701 (3 years ago) #3450100The revoltech Ultron on the other hand, looks perfect as far as proportions go and from what I understand, will be taller and cheaper: ITEM #316874

Not only the proportions, but in terms of sculptural details, the Revoltech Ultron is actually based on the finalized model from the film... meaning it's more movie-accurate in terms of the little details all over his body (the Figuarts is based on a combination of the concept art and the early render that was used on the Empire magazine cover).

Even with the more blatant joints, it seems like that one's slowly turning out to be the better choice between the two...

ronri (3 years ago) #3449763Yeah, aside from the inaccurate details, it has the same problem as the Hot Toys version where the neck should be a bit thicker...
I agree. I'm looking at my marvel legends Ultron and even though that figure isn't 100% accurate, it's a lot better as far as proportions go, that is to say he looks bulkier.

I think what throws off this the look of this Ultron are his shoulders and legs. Ultron in the movie had a super dramatic "v-taper" with a huge chest and broad shoulders down to a skinny waist relative to his chest. His chest and shoulders are way too narrow and the shoulders themselves aren't big enough to accomplish that. The legs are also waaay too skinny, particularly the thighs. The arms are a bit thin, but it's really the shoulders and legs that make this Ultron look weird.

Alastor701 (3 years ago) #3449298The proportions on this guy...yikes. I mean, yeah, it's a dead ringer for the concept images but I think this is one of those times when artistic liberties should be taken.
