opened mine today... the figure itself has pretty good details and joints, they're improved and easier to pose than previous play arts kai..
the face, glasses, swords, shirt, coat, trousers, shoes, everything have impresive finish..
everything about this figure are pretty except the stand base...

Does the box's biography spoil Ignis's role in the game? I've noticed there's a lot of text which I will want to avoid reading if it goes into more detail than "he's Noctis's advisor". I don't want any hints at all of who he is beyond this and I'd like to jump ship of the spoilers since I probably will get the figure before playing the game.

VioletSpectrum (1 year ago) #13928957Anyone who has imported him will have got him early. The rest of the countries who distribute figures will not officially get them until September at the earliest. At least the Noctis figures will be released worldwide around the same time as the game. It's just the other guys that's the issue. That's why if I really want a figure, I would look to Japan imports first. It's the best way if you want something early.^^
I'd also like to add that Ignis doesn't seem to be as popular as the others and the line in general isn't so widespread for some reason. I'm pretty sure that if these guys were more popular like many other sought-after figures, lots more people would've found ways to acquire him ASAP and nobody'd hear the end of it. XD It's sad but true.

Makes sense. I was wondering why the whole cast was slated for a September release locally (thereby ensuring that my wallet would be officially dead on that month since that's 4 PAKs + the Deluxe Ed). >_<

Strange that Ignis isn't as popular... Is that among the fanbase in general? In our local PAK-collectors group, Ignis and Gladio are the must-gets with Noctis being mid-priority and Prompto being the least prioritized due to him only coming with a tiny gun and being the biggest disappointment for collectors figure-wise. Character-wise, of course, Prompto is the most popular among the girls who are normally non-collectors of the line.

As for the line not being widespread... this used to be one of my main lines and from what I've observed in our local PAK group, a lot of us quit or took a harder look at our purchases (and just started buying favorites instead of the whole cast as we used to do) the moment the prices went from ~65USD to ~120USD with no major improvement (paint defects, minimal accessories, 'oily' skin still seems to be the norm).

It's a bit sad since these are quite possible the only figures we will ever get of Square Enix properties and a lot of them are ridiculously overpriced nowadays. >_< Personally, I'm also dropping this line and have sold most of my collection, but will definitely be keeping the FFXV boys! I'm happy to hear that SE didn't screw Ignis' figure up, at least! :)

Looks like only the folks who ordered from AmiAmi got him on time?
