PlatoG6 months ago#88468138Figure is never limited edition , even those companies (Alter, Max factory, Aniplex or etc) claim theirs are limited and exclusive. There is thousands of copy out there and not to say this figure is a standard release.
You want to collect "collectibles" defined by you, i suggest you start collecting resin from Tsume or Prime1 studio as they always have small es
I am collecting both so i think i am qualified to say something about it

If figures are truely not limited or exlusive, no one would like to pay more than RRP to get them, so where are those aftermarket drama coming from? It's just a subjective standard which varies by person. For example, thousands of copies may sound a lot to you, but it's still a small number to me.

If you don't think figures are collectibles and still feel happy when their value drops below what you paid for, no problem. We have different feelings towards an event, simple as that. You can never convince anyone of a feeling which they don't feel.

ppheart6 months ago#88468041That's true for people who don't treat figures as collectibles and rarity means nothing. I want some old materpieces to get re-issued too but I try to stay clear of companies who re-release on a regular basis.
TLDR: I always have mixed feelings about re-release.

PlatoG6 months ago#88467842maybe only those paid inflated price, first-release buyers mostly paid retail price also.
The final product worth its retail price for sure.
