i know this figure is of high quality but that's nothing new , alter figures have always been of the high quality side. 30k for a figure(including shipping since it looks heavy)(also no bonuses)? is that how the inflation in figure pricing goes , it will still be made in china with the same PVC and ABS of many other figures. Alter has always been in the lead of increasing figure pricing and other companies would follow (even koto broke the 14k for a 1/8). So if a 1/7 would cost this much in the future, i would believe that all price inflation happened because of us collector because we keep going for them no matter what. In 2-3 years I wouldn't be surprised if prices broke the 30ks or even the 40ks but the main question is , Are we okay with that?

Note: don't get me wrong , I really love this figure and want it but Iam not gonna jump on the (iam okay with them increasing the price so much) wagon

Gorgeous figure gets a not-so-gorgeous price.

I think the 'send a message' posts are hilarious, though. It's expensive because it's expensive to make. If you can't afford her, or don't think she's worth it to you, that's fine. But don't go telling other people how to spend their money. This isn't some shit figure from a shit company charging a shit price because no one else is making figures of a specific character. Quality demands money. That's all there is to it.

Xyresic (1 month ago) #32663360To anyone who's considering buying this figure, I suggest you read this first: www.reddit.com/...
There's a pretty common defect in her wings that will show if light is shone behind her. May be a deal-breaker if you expected perfection.
Well if you read Alter's response in that reddit link, it pretty clearly explains that it's the joining parts and the reason you can see it is because the wings are transparent. Not a defect, just the unfortunate side of the wings being quite complicated that that's how they were made to be put together.

Look at any figure with lots of hair strands coming out and how many are glued in separately at the back of the head. It's the same concept here. Where these air bubble in the glue are usually hidden, the transparency of the wings shows them.

Nanahira (1 month ago) #32522213Anyone know what is that transparent pole for? I dont see the point putting it to support her skirt because without it she can still stand.. or is it really needed so this figure dont fall?
I am assuming it is there to make the figure more stable or hold the figure up better because the wings are so heavy. Things may lean or something may happen, so I guess it is better to use the support if you are going to display her for a long time. Better safe than sorry in the future.
