Heavenly_Otaku (13 days ago) #35393374... You could make a blog about it to get more visibility.

What I might do is create a blog *after* I've pealed off all pealing skin and detail repair methods and/or what damage to expect. What's very telling is that the purple of the implied tights and hair has no discoloration/pealing problem leading me to suspect a flaw in the skin application (of course quite possibly just a defect with this one unit). I'll probably work with her in moments of spare time so could be a while - not sure a dedicated 10 hour block of sorting her out only to find out she's a write-off would do me much good :P Given that variants are coming out - if anyone else reports similar problems will most probably do a blog to give folks a heads up otherwise only if there is something worthy to report regarding repairs (have a spare yukata that she looks real good in so likely will upload some images of that at least).

Cheers for the run-around help and time taken, much appreciated.

Have a *slightly* better image here:
PICTURE #1996343
Unfortunately seems that's about the best I can probably do (with a camera that has 101 settings that are gibberish to me anyhow). Whats hard to communicate through photos though is just how easy the skin 'peels' of - also that air-bubbles appear just before it starts peeling so perhaps the browning is to do with the adhesive used to glue the 2 layers together?

I guess, I can imagine where the browning effect has occurred now. Thanks for the picture.
Air bubbles have appeared under the skin, that's very bad.

I hope somebody else here can check if they are facing the same issue. If not, then I guess it must be an unfortunate manufacturing defect. You could make a blog about it to get more visibility.

Heavenly_Otaku (15 days ago) #35247801Thanks for sharing the pictures...

Honestly I've tried to get a good photo but can't get the camera to simply take an image of 'what I see' - unfortunately have to use imagination that there is a blotchy browning effect. Also when I got her the face and body skin tones matched (pretty sure anyway) and have not used any cleaning agent of any description (be it alcohol, soap or just water). The necklace was not there as I cut it off (it was tearing up the outer layer of skin) - but can easily be re-attached (it folds back into position tight enough can't tell it was cut even without glue). Honestly have no clue how the camera used behaves but have a suspicion under crappy artificial lighting it might pick up on tonal differences better rather than being over-exposed so may try again tonight.

Regarding contact, I don't speak Japanese (other than about 20 words anyhow... half of them perverted *cough*) and Twitter is not something I use plus with iffy photos not sure what I can expect Proovy to do - or if they even would care about customers outwith Japan?

Cheers for the pointers - be sure to re-quote you if better images can transpire.

Sure thing, can find image detailing damage here: picture/1995332...
- my photo skills are lacking (these 2 were the only good-ish images of about 10) but hopefully useful enough.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Was any cleaning agent used like alcohol or acetone on the area which has peeled off?
Honestly, I can't see the browning effect on the picture though. It is possible for the figure to have different skin tone on the face and body from the start.

The necklace isn't there either.

Perhaps you could notify the manufacture of this issue via their twitter profile twitter.com/PRO...

Could you share some pictures of this skin discoloration and pealing of the figure. Thanks.

At the risk of exposing my dunce level (as what I'm about to explain was probably my fault) I've found that her skin has an outer layer that discolours and also peals of real easy. I know discolouring is often a sign of improper environment but all my other figures in the same location didn't get a blotchy-browning effect and well not sure about the pealing. Strangely enough neither while her actual skin feels kinda like a rubber (eraser the colloquial term for those outwith UK?) the under layer (after pealing) feels like a regular - albeit slightly glossy - PVC figurine. The part that started pealing was around the necklace and just rubbing it with fingers causes it to fall off.

Is anyone else having oddities or is it just me doing something real dumb somewhere along the line?

---

Also if you saw my earlier comment regarding figure note can now confirm a slight caveat to one of the points, while she is barbie-doll after taking underwear off fully (only to check for pealing honest! ... okay maybe a little for perverted reasons) she actually dose have an 'iny' indent that's only obvious through the front - almost as if she really was going to have detail 'down there' but was changed last minute - in fact the garter is glued into holes in the stockings rather than moulded on further leading me to believe she was intended to be quite the naughty lass.
