lastmariachi (3 months ago) #31940685Most Dollfie Dreams, and ball jointed dolls in general, come without clothes and no hair. If they are sold as a set (such as some character dollfies) then they will come with the styled wig, clothes, shoes and sometimes accessories. All of these are packaged separately because it is safer to ship and store due to both vinyl and resin being porous materials. This means that any type of dye coming from clothes or wigs, after a certain time, will leak out and be absorbed by the porous material which leaves stains in the process. These are regular happenings of a dd or bjd owner and can be removed...so nothing to be really afraid of but definitely something to be aware of!
However, also keeping the doll naked and hairless, it allows the doll to be easily customized and personalized to the owner's liking. Even the eyes are removal and replaceable! As for the the hair, it just slides in like a regular hair wig. If purchased on the right size, it should stay there no matter how much you move the doll around. There's even silicone and cloth wig caps that help out keeping the wig in place if you need a bit of help.

Oh my, you certainly know your stuff. I've been curious about these dolls, so thank you.

SquirrelLuvsPnut (3 months ago) #31929690Been checking out unboxing videos and it looks like they're packaged without hair. Do you have to glue it on or something? It seems kind of weird considering how expensive these dolls are.

Generally special character releases like 2B come with all her clothing + hair. The only exception is if you intentionally buy a DD body by itself with no head or hair.

The hair just slips on, no glue or anything. Its a very good idea to get a wig/head cap as some darker hair wigs can stain the dolls head. I don't imagine that happening with 2B though, being white hair ^.^ head caps can also help with making hair stay more secure on the head.

They can be disassembled quite a lot though for repairs/swapping out parts www.youtube.com...
