Mine came in great! There is no flaw on her face or anywhere and it somehow got soaked on the way here with SAL >_> Really surprised nothing was damaged.

azaziel666 (2 months ago) #31713989Thats the first time I have ever heard anyone do that, explaining to Kotobukiya how to do their jobs. XD
I hope the flaws aren't too obvious.

They enjoyed me explaining it too >_> But yeah, I was expecting better customer service than you needed to buy from a US store (which I used to do more of before they started disappearing with people's pre-order deposits) or contact Koto JP (which doesn't even reply to English emails).

The flaws aren't too obvious while on display. I still think this is the best Elf Yamada scale so far, including previewed figures. But Kotobukiya quality control is usually better than this, and now I know their customer service is useless if you order from Japan (which is faster, cheaper, and more trustworthy than buying from US shops).

Cantisama (2 months ago) #31706776I tried explaining to Koto US that part of the reason for a Japanese company like Kotobukiya having a foreign office is to better serve the customers in that region, but they completely disregarded me.

azaziel666 (3 months ago) #31418852Any pics to show the flaws? I want to know because I am planning to get this.
Most figures have at least a flaw or two, but what bothers me most is any problem with the face. For Elf, my faceplate came with some stray black paint that makes her face look a little dirty: link to pic

For my Sagiri, her face has a small raised area that kinda looks like a pimple: link to pic

These problems are hard to capture in photos but more noticeable in person. Were they anywhere else on the figure, I wouldn't complain (like Elf's front hair piece and Sagiri's coat have a similar raised bump on it). But since my favorite part of a figure is the face, these defects disappoint me.

Kotobukiya US refused to help me since I bought from a Japanese store, while Kotobukiya JP wouldn't even respond to my emails (possibly they do not have English speaking employees there). I tried explaining to Koto US that part of the reason for a Japanese company like Kotobukiya having a foreign office is to better serve the customers in that region, but they completely disregarded me. It was a far cry from the customer service I've received from GSC, and makes me question ordering further Kotobukiya figures.
