Nia-kun (1 month ago) #36874174I wish I could pre-order this, but I have the worst time separating the artist from the art (which isn't hard for me to usually do, but in this case, it's impossible for me). I guess that's why I'm still slightly baffled at the amount of people who still want him after everything.
At the end of the day, the lives of the children who were hurt by the mangaka matter more to me than my nostalgia. :\
Of course, no one is going to be stopped from ordering this, especially hardcore RK fans, but I hope everyone knows exactly where their money is going to.

I understand your point, and believe me that I don't like to say this things, but this kind of judging is not needed, everyone knows about what happened and can make their own decisions, you don't need to make them feel bad if they want to buy this figure.

I understand if anyone doesn't want to support this figure, but don't be a dick to people that may. The love, Kenshin, the C H A R A C T E R itself. We've choosen to buy it because of him, no one's asking you to understand but,

If anything appreciate the craft itself, a sculptor DID THAT, a human being made that. The time and effort taken to make this piece shows as it's the best quality of a figure that the character itself has seen by FAR.

We're all collectors. And, just because someone collects differently than you do doesn't make them wrong.

Ted Talk ends there.

Does anybody have an idea of when the actual poster will be revealed? should I expect the art to be somewhat similar/identical to the sample?

Robie (27 days ago) #37748796Well every company by my little experience have their own dimensions for every scale. So it might as well fit with your 1/8 figures...

You’re so right, lol!! Sad part is even with them providing his actual height it’s still hard to tell if he’s a big 1/7 or a smaller 1/7 due to his pose....guess buying him and seeing is the only way!!! Well...aside from waiting for others to purchase then share pics, but if you wait that long you could end up paying double! Hmmm.... :-D

Stacycmc (28 days ago) #37702014Ah man this is beautiful!!!!! I wish it were 1/8 scale to match my other figures though, wonder if it will be noticeable if I have him perched beside other 1/8 scale... :( ...cuz this is my FAV of him, looks amazing!!!

I must say I'm surprised that there isn't more backlash here, I thought the international community was very sensitive to child abuse. I'm kinda glad that people can still enjoy the serie and its characters, it was a good serie. But I can't help but be dissappointed in the author though. He is definitely a good mangaka, but unfortunately he is a shitty human being otherwise. I wish his punishment would've been a lot harsher, then I'd feel better about the whole situation :(

I can see why people would still buy this figure though, it is a nice figure, and really the only good figure of this serie. Personally I've never been a huge fan of Rurouni Kenshin, and although I like the figure, I don't love it. So I'm not ordering it, but I'm glad that companies like GSC are also making figures of some older series. There are still a few series that I hope will get picked up ^^
