PatchworkToxin Dat Yandere
Hm, delayed to April. I got suspicious when AmiAmi changed her to "tentative pre-order."

I was looking this morning; Hobby Search has closed reservations for this figure, and AmiAmi now has her listed as "provisional preorder", so maybe either there's a higher demand for this figure than I thought or Daiki is doing a fairly small run.
A small run is always a risk. This is what happened with ITEM #351412. I managed to get hold of one and she vastly exceeded my expectations. But the run was so small that the manfuactuer told me they ony made a basic brown cardboard box with black print. As a result, this figure almost never appears in the aftermarket.
Hobby Search often closes reservations early and they are known for their inability to fulfill all pre-orders, so I always ignore them, they are a small player. As for AmiAmi's tentative pre-order status, I am not sure whether it is an indication of small runs and/or higher demand. This status usually appears closer to the release date, but not for all figures. So far all my tentative pre-orders at AmiAmi have been fulfilled. The fact that there are only 15 users who ordered here is possibly a stronger indication that the run may be small. One the one hand, a 1/6 that comes with two torsos and faces may not drop that much. On the other hand, chubby daiki figures tend to drop. Tough call...

Similar thoughts here. Thick and curvy "plus size" figures are always a "plus" for me, regardless of whether they are thinner in the corresponding manga. Daiki and Melting Neuron often score very well in that department, so the temptation to pre-order is there. On the other hand, plus size figures often bin due to society's unfortunate prejudices. The problem is that not all of them do. Moreover not all Daiki figures bin, so it is hard to predict what will happen. Decisions decisions indeed...

It's pretty clear that Mei/Honey is not nearly as thick and curvy as this figure makes her out to be. Also, given the relative obscurity of the character and the source material in general, I also have to wonder if this figure will end up binning.
On the other hand, I like the design and I also like how she has several different display options. Decisions, decisions... I'm torn on this one. I've been enjoying the manga, and I like the Mei/Honey character, but it seems like the proportions of this figure are a little bit off.
