Sege (29 days ago) #37762966I regret contacting amiami. They offered me an exchange, which I appreciated but told me to send it out the cheapest way possible w/tracking (because that's the only way they'd refund the shipping costs) and once they receive it in their warehouse, then they'd send me a new one. I shouldn't have listened--I should have gotten better shipping. Now the package is lost. I've contacted the post office and they said once it's in Japan they have no way of locating it. Japan post has no phone number or email I can contact either. I know I won't be seeing this figure or my money. I'm really upset about the whole thing.

A sad story. Are you positively sure it is lost. Sometimes some packages using the cheapest shipping method can take several months (I once waited 3 months) to arrive. That said, I had a similar issue with AmiAmi... but the problem was ALL the cheapest shipping options available were over AmiAmi maximum shipping refund by orders of several $100 because it was a large scale. Ended up keeping the figure and hoping to repair her myself one day. Really frustrating.

I think it can’t be fixed without pinning lol

PICTURE #2011072

Nailed it. I suck at figure fixing so FOTS better improve their packaging ASAP.

Edited to add - it did end up sticking ok in the end - not perfect, but passable ... I’m just way too type B and impatient for this type of work haha

Venetica (1 month ago) #36470657Try Insta-Set (Google "adhesive accelerator") and use it with the super glue. My husband had me try his when I had trouble gluing broken resin figures. I was blown away by how fast it sets, it is truly instantaneous. Now I never go without it!

Thanks for the tip!

Mine arrived, also with a break in the hair between the blue bobbles, but I've managed to fix it by drilling, pinning and gluing the pieces back together.

I got her today! She's really adorable, one of her twintails broke but I don't regret getting her at all. I gave it a quick temporary fix but I'm hoping to do something more permanent soon.

I wrote about her here! BLOG #40311

MillyParis (2 months ago) #35368976Hi!
I use testors model glue to fix my Sora from Alphamax. Here's a link:

Thanks for the suggestion! Just ordered some off Amazon. I tried super glue and it just... sits on the figure. So bizarre. I wish she hadn’t come with a broken hair piece but she’s still cute!
