Klon3 days ago#78091918Speaking of amiami, I often said - and I say it again - if you want to do worry-free business, go with amimai!
At the moment, they give you a two months time frame to pay for your pre-ordered items that came in-stock now and let you decide either if you want to cancel your order or keep it stored by them until Japan Post starts to deliver in your country again.

Yep! They are holding mine until Japan Post gets going again.

However, future orders are not completely secure too (for example, amiami is still used by the Japanese postal services and there will be time delays in these packages as well. We can only hope that the Japanese post office will be picked up as soon as possible.

[quote=] I don't know much about the economic consequences of COVID-19, but there might be a chance that the company you're used to made your prepayments won't exist anymore in a couple of months. plamoya.com

I noticed that...

I don't know what their financial situation is (seller I used), but I know that orders / pre-orders are still being executed with them (but the course of these is a bit disturbed ... why do they know, and I can only predict, speculate). I hope this doesn’t lead to insolvency because most of my pre-orders with them are already overdue :(

BUT FIRST HAND INFO WOULD BE DESIRED (their employees): IS THEIR COMPANY STRONG ENOUGH TO SURVIVE THIS PERIOD AND AFTER IT? ANYONE???

Otherwise, I think in the worst case scenario, they would have to repay the debtors from the bankruptcy estate. The only question is what the order will be: Banks / creditors in front of employees and customers, not to mention the worst.

However, future orders are not completely secure too (for example, amiami is still used by the Japanese postal services and there will be time delays in these packages as well. We can only hope that the Japanese post office will be picked up as soon as possible. Question: What is the Japanese government doing to help the Japanese postal service ?)

Either way we turn or wise, I will for the time being have to wait a little while for those proposals where the price for postage is too high.

And yes, the current orders (basically for quite some time) have been carried out without advance payments and inconveniences related to expensive imports / customs clearance ....

SkiaEsh3 days ago#78068724In my experience, Knightmedia usually takes an extra 2-3 months for figures. You might email them to check the status. That is what I usually do at the two-month mark to hurry them up a bit.

Waaaahhhhh..... I have the big sad now. I was so looking forward to having her soon, especially after her being delayed... guess I can just cry until then. That'll keep me occupied. Thanks for the information!

Klon4 days ago#78067728If that’s an US based company 3 weeks to 2 months delay wouldn’t be a surprise to me, my darling.
