atopls9 months ago#87420243The bow should separate into two parts. Slide one part through her hand, and then slide the other part into the opposite side of the hand, to join the parts in the middle :)

Thank you for the response, I did separate the bow parts but I'm not sure which one is supposed to go in on top and which one on the bottom, whenever I try to connect them they don't seem to fit very well in her hand and I don't want to break it.
When I put them together in the way I think they fit best the bottom of the bow does not sit in the small indent on the figure base like I am assuming it is supposed to.
Maybe I am just not being forceful enough? I just get scared to break the hands on figures because I've done it before with RAH figures and had to repair them and it sucks

I just really dont want to break it. Right now I just have the bow leaning up against her hand.

Unfortunately, as other commenters have already said, this Homura doesn't compare to the quality of the matching Madoka.
While she does have extra details and texture on her outfit, just like on Madoka does, it looks kind of choppy on her. I don't really know how to describe it properly, but the white almost looks 3D-printed and, frankly, a bit sharp; not like fabric at all.
One of her base pegs also broke while I assembled her (I tried to separate her from the base to have better range while attaching her bow, something I still don't really know how to do), and, while it was a pretty easy fix, I'm a bit worried the other peg will snap, too. So, I suggest being extra careful.

It's what has kept me from getting her for myself so far.I understand Madoka's costume is more detailed, versus Homura's more sleek and streamlined look, but it just kind of looks lacking compared to Madoka's figure. The Madoka exq is really stunning, and is one of my favorites,so I was excited to see her matching Homura, and she turned to fall flat imo.

If you feel this way, you should definitely hold off. I'm glad I have her, but only because having matching Madoka and Homura pairs is VERY important to me, and I would feel my collection was sadly lacking if they weren't together. The figure is sadly nothing special and they don't match well at all. Her face isn't amazing and the quality just doesn't feel quite as good as Madoka, which admittedly set a high bar. Even though Homura's design is more simple, that just makes every individual detail (like the face, or the stiff pose) that much more important. I do enjoy how big her bow is though, thing's ridiculous. And I like her dramatic billowing hair, I just wish they'd done the concept better.

mommert2 years ago#56312886Ah, this figure honestly doesn't really look as good as the madoka exq figure. kinda disappointed
*edit: i bought her and it really looks eh. if i find a better homura to match my madoka i'll probably get rid of her
