Mildly excited for this, loving the attention they are giving Repede for this port :)

I agree with others here though generally... I still like it, but the head tilt is off on this one. I can hope it looks better in person...

And hey, remember this? ITEM #99027

That's just awful >_> I'm truly sorry that it's such a drain for you, cause I know how much of a dedicated Tales fan you are! :O

Here in Germany, I ordered both the Special Edition and the Repede statue through Bamco's EU store for 70€ each, which is okay price-wise even though the statue would've been the perfect addition for the Special Edition (especially with that Repede-style metal case) and I would've gladly paid 130€ or something for it. But after all I'm glad they are not asking more <.<

TakeI feel your pain :( Are you absolutely certain the Anniversary Edition is exclusive to Bamco for the US/Canada? Here in Europe it was possible to find by other main retailers, with free shipping or a lot less. Make sure you also double check the net and your emails as sometimes Bamco sends some promotional codes that can compensate for shipping. When I ordered the Anniversary Edition I remember there was a 10% code circulating around. The same could happen for Repede.

I havent seen any other retailer, other than amazon and EBgames around here there's really not many stores to turn to, physical pre-orders are a dying breed.

I did however emailed them to see if the orders could be combined but the reply i got was that i would have to cancel both and then re-order at the same time on one order. Which isnt an option really because when Repede went up for pre-orders, the Anniversary Edition pre-orders were already closed and back to Waiting List.

BloodFlower (2 months ago) #43378784Not sure how choosing a pose that are used for Repede's visual art is not choosing a signature pose? The only real complaint I have with the pose is that his head-tilt looks a bit off.AkibaMelon (2 months ago) #43384214I agree that this figure's pose captures Repede's signature style pretty damn well Oo And yes, the only thing that seems somewhat off is that his head looks slightly too high up in the air.

I guess we got a misunderstanding because I was basically trying to say the same thing as you guys. This figure is obviously based on Repede's signature pose, but in my opinion they butchered it by failing the head inclination. This is especially visible on this picture ITEM #775398. I guess the only difference in what we are trying to say is that you guys think it's a "little bit off" while I think it is a total show-stopper, as I believe it looks ridiculous. Jajanken (2 months ago) #43372754Such bullshit selling this independently...should've been included with ToV remaster special edition

Take (2 months ago) #43353969Not too sure how it was possible to fail such a figure, but they did anyway... Instead of reproducing its signature cool pose, they instead give it a pose looking like these cliché anime characters who are so haughty they always look at the sky... Plus if Bamco really is the manufacturer it is worrisome, especially at this price tag. Not to mention resin... combined with the fact that video game companies are not good with packaging, this calls for disaster. I sure hope I will be wrong about everything but I will pass on this one, better safe than sorry.

I agree with you both and i'm genuinely raging over this. I'd be raging less if the Anniversary Edition would have been 50-70$ more and one shipping charge. As a Canadian consumer, including the shipping charges, the Anniversary Edition comes up to 138.98$USD & Repede is 116.53$USD. So with the actual currency exchange: About 340$CAD for both....And lets not talk about the duty fees okay? Typing the actual price after conversion just made me die a little inside...

Im not overly crazy for resin statue, but as a Tales freak i just really need to have this... It will most likely indeed be a disaster, either bad paint job or broken, pick your poison. Im still willing to give it a chance and eat those words, hopefully.

Well said! I agree that this figure's pose captures Repede's signature style pretty damn well Oo And yes, the only thing that seems somewhat off is that his head looks slightly too high up in the air.

I do think this fig's quality won't be on pare with what we're used to with Alter's Tales of figures understandably. I don't have any experiences with resin statues though, so I'm just gonna let me myself get surprised :D I still think it's a cool collector's item and I couldn't stand not having it in my collection xD

Not sure how choosing a pose that are used for Repede's visual art is not choosing a signature pose? We're even using the picture with that pose for Repede's character entry in the database. The only real complaint I have with the pose is that his head-tilt looks a bit off. Bamco's recent collector's edition figures have been good and I'm guessing this figure will at least keep that standard.

BloodFlower (2 months ago) #43247021Since Bamco store is region-locked I can't add info from the US shop (if there is any). Feel free to message me link and price and I'll update it if you don't want to update yourself. Not sure if there's a Japanese shop as well.
Edit: sources seem to indicate that this is a EU exclusive.

It is also available for pre-order on the North America website for $74.99 USD
