Saii1 day ago#98061897That's odd, mine arrived today, and it have a black base like that version before merged...

What? o__o Can you upload photos, please? I'm surprised that the manufacturer didn't put up any photos if there was a new version.

levinleigh18 days ago#97848936Hello, for anyone who has this figure what's her colour scheme? I sometimes see her in some videos that it's dark purple-ish but in some, it's black, maybe it's the lighting or maybe I can't tell the difference between the two colours haha. Are there two versions of this figure? Thanks!
There were two releases for this figure, but both same - one version only. I have the first release. Colour scheme wise, it’s pretty accurate to the first few pictures on mfc. To be honest I’m not sure if it’s very dark purple or matte black reflecting light out to look purple, I think it’s purple since the brush is obviously black and it contrasts with the kimono. Or they tried black but that’s the best they could get haha.

Psycosaiyan1 month ago#96869094The thing about PVC is, it's malleable when heated. So you can heat the part of the kimono you want to bend with a hair dryer, and then hold the piece still until it cools off, then it'll stay there :)
I did the same with mine.

There was no need in the end, I got it sorted out after writing that, thanks though. ^^

I'm incredibly surprised at how amazing she looks. The details on the kimono, the obi, the ornaments... this is truly too beautiful for a prize figure. Not to mention with the declining quality of some companies, and especially prizes, this past year, I wasn't keeping my hopes up anymore. But maybe since this was a reissue, it looks great.
I'm kind of glad (I guess?) that the instructions for the brush said "if the fit between the handle is loose, then please use adhesive to attach"; because if there wasn't any warning on this, I'd think I got a defected item. But this warning is written here in 3 languages and I really appreciate the thought. Indeed, I had to use an adhesive, but it didn't bring my mood down. I mean, yes, we shouldn't have to; but getting warned that this is a general thing is preparing you.
Before the entries were merged, I was happy that the second version seemed like getting a base, but it didn't end up happening xD So I'll try to find a nice spot for her to sit and not fall down. The pose or the clothing isn't allowing her to sit anywhere like Moon Cancer can right now (that figure literally sat anywhere I placed it without falling), but I might try to play around with the kimono to see if I can find a better sitting position. (Edit: Playing around with the kimono helped and I got a safe sitting position ^^)

I have her from the first release almost two years ago, and she’s been in my office sitting on my business card case for the whole time and sat through two earthquakes so that’s good!

Was lucky enough to have one that had no paint bleeds and the brush fit the hand well and so far it has no problems whatsoever without adhesive, sticks and stays in her hand very well. It does kind of lift at the head to go almost horizontal instead of the originally slight diagonal grip (head of brush higher up than tail), but oh well. Worth the bucks!

Would be interesting to see people displaying it in creative ways.

I've got her today! I was sure the box would be bigger (like in size of SSS line boxes and ITEM #844833 I own) - I'm happy with more reasonable dimensions of the box. The box looks basically the same, the only difference is product Id - AMU-PRZ10108 VS AMU-PRZ11805. The hair part comes in paperboard cube, which I initially took for a temporary base. The assembling is easy with a cup of hot water.

Her colors seems dull, but it could be because of poor artifical light.
Sleeves on the back have to be fixed so she would sit more securely on a surface. My figure seems to look downwards but I don't mind it. That's all aside usual prize-quality issues, but the complex sculpt and intricate design are more prominent. She looks pretty sitting on a shelf with other Japanese figures.
