Not sure what you mean by being painted and not transfers. All figures are painted unless molded in color.
What I mean is that the figure appears to be totally free hand painted.
If you look at something like ITEM #891393 then it's pretty clear that this is either done using stencils of some sort of transfer over the base colours, to do that free hand would be extremely time intensive and prone to mistakes, however looking at the one I have it is perfectly done.
Possibly the mistake Genco made is to have tried to have the line work painted free hand which is why it easy to see on close inspection the unevenness of the lines.

Just had her turn up today and looks pretty good, yes I agree the price is high but you don't get the level of detail on a prize figure, I have a few prize figures and none are anywhere near as good as this.
Is it worth the price, that's for individuals to decide, could it be better, always, is it bad then no it's not. I would say this one is better than Asuna as my Asuna had a mark on her hair and this one does not appear to have any marks I can see at the moment.
One thing I would say is that she is clearly hand painted like Asuna rather than transfers. Not sure what you mean by being painted and not transfers. All figures are painted unless molded in color. Why do you say she looks like a prize, curious

No, I paid $55 Fedex Express. Just received the package from TOM today, and I"m losing money selling this for $200. lol
I see. Amiami made me use surface for some reason and it looks like she just arrived in the USA. So hopefully I will have mine soon. Honestly while I agree she is a little pricy she and Asuna aren’t nearly as bad as people make them out to be. And I think they will look good together regardless.

Your comparison is to an intricate patterned figure, apples and oranges comparison.
