Not gonna lie, if this figure sells well, collecting Amazing Yamaguchi Transformers figures might be a cheaper alternative to collecting their Masterpiece counterparts.

But wasn't this line supposed to focus on American comic book characters? Granted, the Transformers have had a fair share of comic book adaptations themselves, but I've always seen them as an IP that originated in the realm of toys rather than comics.

But I'm glad that Kaiyodo is expanding their horizons a bit in this regard. Hopefully we'll get to see superheroes from source material besides the big two known as Marvel and DC. Such as companies like Image (Spawn and Invincible), Dark Horse (Hellboy and The Mask), Valiant (Ninjak and X-O Manowar), Dynamite Entertainment (Green Hornet and Vampirella), IDW/Hasbro (Transformers and G.I. Joe) and Boom Studios/Mattel* (Masters of the Universe and Thundercats).

Overall, I just might get this figure after all. I look forward to what the future has in store for the Amazing Yamaguchi toy line. I would definitely like to see as many comic book superheroes/American IPs represented in this line as humanly possible.

(*NOTE: I know Boom Studios doesn't own the licensing rights to Mattel properties, but I put this here just for the sake of creating a pattern between the "big two" of American toy companies and two comic book publishers known for creating licensed work.)

Looks very nice, but I'd rather pass and wait for other characters.

The forearms definitely give off the bloated Dreamwave look, but this is such an improvement over the original that I’d happily get this. It’ll be the first TF item I’ve wanted since around 2013.

Still a bit Pat Lee-like, which is a shame, as I'd love to see Revo TFs from the IDW comics.
