Sigh. Why does it have to be just FOTS doing figures for this series.

They just aren't giving her justice

I hope they shrink her boobs - from the picture it is a little much and it makes her look awkward because of the last of torso. Her arms also look tiny compared to them

I agree - her torso looks too short in the pic!

chs360 (10 days ago) #51022913You mean very recently? Because I wouldn't say last October is too far from where we are now when the last Lucoa figure released. And mine was nearly broken in half with the poor package design. She's still being repaired by FOTs actually to this day, it's taken that long. So I think people have a right to complain, even recently they have been of VERY poor quality and continue to charge a small fortune. But, being a huge fan of Lucoa, I will order this one as well. I just hope that they truly have changed since then, cause their prices sure haven't.

Yeah I mean in the past month. If you follow their twitter (fots, Pulchra, Insight), they have posted about improving materials and packaging a lot and they have improved rapidly.

ITEM #766276 and ITEM #735107 were packaged perfectly with no breaks. ITEM #742883 was packaged well with only tiny breaks on the tips of her hair (not noticeable) ... BUT the material on Kagoya was a huge improvement from Anubis (more solid and less fragile).

Using a regular blister pack for the PMMA figures is not the answer that we assumed as shown by this one ITEM #672158 (lots of breaks - she would have done better in their newest packaging boxes).

When they do PVC they do great work, too - ITEM #674815 and ITEM #638646

Yes, the packaging on Overall JS, Bikini Tohru, and school swimsuit Lucoa were a disaster BUT they clearly realized this quickly and changed stuff. The PMMA figures have been new and experimental and Fots/Insight hasn’t been around as a division of Pulchra for long at all - yet I see fast improvement and a commitment to making sure their figures arrive to collectors in one piece and look the best they can.

I 100% understand if people aren’t willing or can’t afford to take the risk on them since their track record has been spotty, but I’ve been paying a lot of attention to them.

Edit, I also want to add that GSC (and other companies, I'm sure) have their disasters, as well - lots of folks have had serious issues with this Shiro ITEM #591632 - you have to really work to get her attached to the base and if you don't, then her shoe is going to come unglued and she will come crashing down. I've seen enough people complain of this one ITEM #655901 being broken from their base that it can't just be a one off fluke. A LOT of people got this one ITEM #317823 with her ribbons broken off when she came out. People have been reporting major flaws on this Shiro bunny ITEM #593300

Now, I'm not trying to disparage any companies or figures, but I'm just showing that this type of thing can and does happen (with flaws / breaks / issues). Fots had a particularly rocky start, but I've seen them rapidly improving - it's not like they just keep doing the same thing and shrug about the problem without changing anything. I have faith, and I really like the types of figures they are doing (also with Insight) - they seem to be taking risks and doing more niche characters and using some cool original art / artists.

I know everyone is going to bitch and moan bc FOTS made some early mistakes with materials and packaging, but I have been happy with more of their figures than not. They seem to have solved their packaging issues on recent FOTS and Insight releases - plus, there’s a good chance this will end up PVC in the end!
