Even with Pop-up parade being non-scale glorified prize figures, I've got more faith in this than I do with Koto's version, which color-wise turned out to be nothing like they initially showed.

This figure actually has some A S S unlike the koto one, I'll probably get both but for now, this bad boy has priority- especially since koto's paint job was such a letdown imo

Hips don't lie,
they only let our wallets die.

OK that was a...painfully bad rhyme, but agreed.

I hope they don't ruin the colors on this one like they did koto...

illumi4Love7 months ago#71370846Honestly I'm still considering purchasing this one the only thing that keeps me in favor of Kotos is that incredible flame base and vibrant paint job. However I'm looking to save money so I might buy this one.

More power to you! Just a note that the coloring on the Koto figure as it appears in promo pictures right now is only a CG render, so even I still have some reservations about it.

caitsith7 months ago#71312628Surprised people are thinking of comparing this with the Koto figure. Pop Up Parade figures are non-scale figures around 170-180mm in height and priced at 3900 yen. They're basically glorified prize figures. If the quality of the final product ends up anywhere close to the Koto figure this will be an obvious buy, but it very likely won't.

Surprised people are thinking of comparing this with the Koto figure. Pop Up Parade figures are non-scale figures around 170-180mm in height and priced at 3900 yen. Not saying that PUP figs are poor quality by any means, or that there won't be people who prefer them over their ever-more-expensive scale counterparts, but they definitely aren't made to compete directly with scale figures.

Waiting for colored (Actual) versions of both till I make a decision but I think I'm thinking of getting the koto one at this point. That popped hip makes it much more dynamic and of course the base.
