StackPH1 month ago#84293884I don't really collect articulated figures so I don't buy Figma and yes, I hope they continue this Pokemon-only line but I'm excited that they're doing fully evolved Pokemon now with trainers. I can't wait how Cynthia and Garchomp will turn out.Yeah I am excited too, which means Leon X Charizard is possible!

I am a Pikachu fan, I can't find any other figure company can make such that high QC Pikachu like Kotobukiya. I have collected GSC, Megahouse and bandai shf, They are either of poor QC or not close to animation. BTW, Figma pokemon are excellent, they just reopened their line, I really suggest to buy them.

StackPH1 month ago#84293780Piplup doesn't even have noticeable seamlines. Bulbasaur is the start (but it's not noticeable from the front angle) then this Pikachu. Charmander's a little worse since they're already showing you the seamlines even in the prototype. This is disappointing since EVERY Pokemon entry from Kotobukiya has been great and didn't have bad seamlines. Wouldn't it be too much to ask for consistency in quality? I mean in terms of recent releases Dawn and Piplup was perfect, Elesa was perfect, Skyla looks to be good also. So you see majority of the releases are good so expectations with the others to be just as good in terms of QC is there. So how are you not surprised that there are suddenly seamlines on this? It's very uncharacteristic of Kotobukiya. Megahouse is the one who's infamous of doing this.
This is just Kotobukiya being a little sloppy. Hope the future releases won't have surprising seamlines. At least for Charmander they're already telling you that there will be which is sad. I was still hoping they fix Charmander's seams but with this recent release I got my hopes down.
But hey don't get me wrong I still love the line, and like you I have bought every single figure from this line so it affects me when the other Pokemon don't have the same quality compared to others. But at least so far I don't have much of a complaint on the main focus of the line, which is the trainers! :D Peace!

scottwang08111 month ago#84293073I disagree it looks like Winnie, because they all yellow? The face is much close to the Pokedex, which fatter than animation for sure. I have collected all the pokemon figures from koto, There are no surprised about the seamlines by koto. For example: Bulbasaur, charmander, Piplup etc..
I don't care about the seamlines. If you do, I suggest Figma pokemon figures and GSC, their figures quality are better than koto, but they are small tho.

GerardHaZ1 month ago#84292907I'd like this figure if Pikachu didn't look like Winnie Pooh and didn't have those ugly seamlines. I'm surprised that Koto did this, if I didn't know it I would say that this was made by MegaHouse. Onix is okay tho.I disagree it looks like Winnie, because they all yellow?
