Feel bad for those who got the rem broken, Amiami has never let me down when it comes to the condition of anything i order INCLUDING the rem, but i have also never ordered from other websites such as SSF or TOM so im not really educated enough to give any real advice other than try amiami and request DHL, and even then for some people that didnt work. The figure scale industry is still new to me so its hard to say whats the safest bet.

PanchitoMatte7 days ago#86966778A vocal group of people stated the manufacturer had no prior history in the community to be releasing figures at this price, even despite the apparent level of quality. Many seemed to agree with them, as though being new was reason enough to come to that sort of conclusion. For months, people shied away from buying Emilia and Rem because they didn't trust that this figure would be worth it, all because of an idea planted in their head that worried them. I hope people don't take others' comments as absolute truth, because they are often just conjecture.

This is a common bias. People give a pass to GSC and Alter for charging an arm and a leg per figure because they're established but any newcomer charging a similar price is crucified because their quality is unknown even if their prototypes are amazing. The same thing happened to Furyu when they started putting out scales. I can understand hesitating because you really won't know their QC until the first release, but Alpha Satellite's figures are far more ambitious than anything Alter has ever put out and feel more worth it to me even if the sculpt/paint turn out underwhelming. I don't think people should be poo-pooing new figures so easily.

cameron9974567 days ago#86975991I don't typically take other's word at face value but that's why I chose amiami to be "safe". Plus I can get their figures cheaper by not buying through them. Unless I want the extra accessory (if it has one) I see no reason to order straight from them. Especially since they raised their shipping on the new figures.
I think it's mainly due to customer service .

PanchitoMatte7 days ago#86966778I agree. One user 10 days ago mentioned they were unable to reach eStream's (by the way Shibuya Scramble Figure is a classification, not the company) customer support for over a month. As it turned out, that user had been emailing a Japanese company in English only. Now, I'm reading that other users are making unsubstantiated claims about the manufacturer's customer service. A similar scenario occurred when the figure was announced. A vocal group of people stated the manufacturer had no prior history in the community to be releasing figures at this price, even despite the apparent level of quality. Yaros7 days ago#86909018I think it’s totally safe to buy directly from SSF. I have spoken with a couple of Defective Rem’s figure buyers. They both returned their figures back to the manufacturer, received full refund for the shipping and received new figures. But they both had to email in Japanese lol I purchased Emilia directly from SSF without any regrets but in the future will go with TOM anyway...

cameron9974567 days ago#86908873Hopefully the packaging will be better for emilia. Also I think the only reason to ever buy from the company is if you really want the extra that comes with whichever one you are getting (but even then I don't find it worth it since I can get it cheaper off TOM).KohakuKen7 days ago#86908843Bought my Rem from a reseller so I accepted being screwed when mine came broken, the original manufacturer themselves being atrocious is just sad to hear. When they first announced these things amiami sat with no news for a whole month before opening orders so I went with SSF, now I'm stuck with my Emilia order wishing I had gone with amiami instead.
Lesson learned, only buy from amiami or goodsmile, or any other store you know with established processes, proper customer support, proper compensation. Wait till the last month of the pre-order deadline if not available immediately.
Also I was planning on maybe coping the idol set a few months ago but i'm glad I didn't. This company won't see another penny from me until their get their shit together in packaging.

Sirnimblybottoms8 days ago#86908724Be careful y'all a lot of people are receiving their Rem figure broken, and Shibuya Scramble's customer service is ATROCIOUS in resolutions. It may just vary depending on the courier and shipping type selected, but I'm seeing it happen quite frequently. Just an FYI ^w^b

This is why I got it from amiami, since I really don't have too much to worry about if it does come broken.
