Wow, I am SO glad I cancelled her. Her base looks cheap, and she doesn't have the shading she should for a scale figure. She looks like a higher end prize figure. >_<;.
It's a shame this came out so bad, as her dress is really pretty, and I like it aesthetically. But she isn't worth this price.

lunarlemons11 days ago#95227343I’ve always stayed away from Chara-Ani but took the risk for Taiga. I really hope she doesn’t turn out like Tenshi. :( Again, I know Chara-Ani is fully capable of doing good work, as ITEM #911800 and ITEM #919661 are two of my favorite figures in my collection. I just pray Taiga turns out more like them then Tenshi here.

Kaori-chan11 days ago#95209692Man thank God I cancelled this pre order because YIKES she looks AWFUL. Plus reviews aren’t looking so hot, either.
I just hope that this Taiga figure ITEM #1065062 doesn’t meet the same fate. I know Chara-Ani can do good work, so hopefully this Tenshi was just one sad mess up.

So so disappointed in the final product. I held out hope for the figure even after the store photos were posted but those user photos are unforgiving.

Cancelled my order. RIP Tenshi. Maybe you'll get a nicer figure soon.

The hair, especially draping over her wings, is very pliable. It almost looks more like she just got out of the shower, like it were wet and stringy! I did notice the skirt was flexible as well, but I didn't think too much of it, like you said, being a thinner plastic. Now that you mention it, though, heat really might not be too kind to this figure.

Amethylia(...)On mine the skirt-pole already has to push her forward to sit properly. (She wanted to balance on just the pegs instead of her knees and pegs...)

... Well, that would explain the third hole in the base, and why her knees don't touch the ground. LOL I'll have to go fish that out of the box! Yeah, I didn't realize there was a pole. If her knees are meant to touch the ground, then I'd probably paint the underside and just try to polish the top side smooth. That might actually look better as well.

Gotta agree, though. I'm willing to give just about any figure manufacturer a try, but Chara-ani doesn't seem to hold a candle to the better known brands as far as QA is concerned.

Jnk129613 days ago#95101965No, I 100% agree. The first feeling I got when I saw her box was "bootleg".
I'm personally considering looking into ways to make the base be like it is in the photos, because it's bad. It's not just cheap, but it looks like someone rubbed the whole thing over with a scotchbrite pad. Hopefully they sell some kind of reflective paint.
What really rubs me, though, is her wings. The figure itself, IMO, is actually fairly good quality. Not the best I've seen by any means, but not terrible, but the wings are just... not good. It looks like they had issues with the mold or something, because they look slightly melted? And they're covered with spots of black paint transfer, which is baffling to me, considering there's nothing they could have rubbed against to get that in the first place.
Overall, I give sculpt itself an 8, but the whole figure a 5.5. Not too terribly impressed for 180$.

My thought exactly! I didn't have any issues with paint transfer on mine thankfully, but the wings are just so lackluster. I have a lot of figures with wings and these are just so blah. No shading or gradient to the transparent part or anything. Also, does yours have a VERY pliable hair/underskirt? I know thinner PVC sculpts tend to have some give, but these feel so ridiculously soft to me... Especially the skirt. I can give the hair a pass but for the skirt to be so pliable is just odd to me. I'm legit concerned about it keeping its shape if god forbid my AC goes out in the summer.

Also, if you paint the base I would suggest maybe painting the underside? Or maybe try sitting her on a mirror first? I would just worry about the paint transferring to her knees. On mine the skirt-pole already has to push her forward to sit properly. (She wanted to balance on just the pegs instead of her knees and pegs...)

Overall though, I think the sculpt isn't half bad like you said. Not the best, but given the dress not too bad. But omg... she just feels like a prize figure to me. Personally, her manufacturer is on my "do-not-buy-from-list" moving forward. For the price tag, I much rather would've dropped that money on an Alter, Kotobukyia, or even F-Nex figure.

Amethylia14 days ago#95051680So I just opened mine... I know I don't have the best lighting in my room but I'm in camp disappointed. I was ok with the black base as shiny and reflective as it looked in the early photos, but IRL it looks and feels cheap. TBH if you told me this was an Ichiban Kuji prize I would totally believe it. She's better quality than the super cheap prize figures, but she is not up to Scale figure quality in my opinion. I also really wish the shading stood out better. In my space, she looks so flat... Also, even her box doesn't feel up to scale quality, or is that just me?
