Loria12 days ago#96136898Just realized that she is 16cm tall after the payment. Tbh I do feel a bit regretted ordering her... The size is a bit too small. But yeah... what I can do now is to wish the company not messing her up this time.
Thx for your reply btw, you somewhat helped me make up my mind. <3

You`re welcome. And don`t worry about it: She is not that tall because she is not standing upright. She is basically half laying, or hovering (swimming) so the size of the figure goes a bit to the front. Should still be easily place able because thankfully she has her legs at an angle and not stretched out.

Figureditout2 months ago#93871524Union Creative is not as terrible as their reputation anymore. I've gotten two of their figures last year and one the year before. While still not on the top of quality figure making, their days of rushing out defective shit seem over.
There are three problems remaining in my books: Quality control, facial expressions and level of detail. This figure fits, like most other UC pre-orders, already into two of those categories. The face does not look like in the original artwork and turned into a neutral artificial gaze due to the eye positioning. And the clothing is rather simple in design.
Now, if you should buy this depends on one question and one question only: Do I want to pay around 20k Yen for a figure that will be cute and somewhat decently manufactured, but does not feature any advanced figure making techniques? Or is that too expensive for what the company usually offers?
Personally, I'm getting her. Did not plan to originally because I was skeptical on the transition from artwork into the real figure. But they seem to have done it rather well and I found the figure at a good price inside the EU. But at the same time I understand anybody who doesn't want to buy it. Just the reasoning "ew Union Creative" is not cutting it anymore. People should rather focus on value for money as reason. Of course, if enough people keep disliking the company, that also affects the aftermarket pricing.
After struggling for a long time, I decided to PO her (luckily this is the last day POing her so I'm kinda glad that I catch up with it). Not that I don't like UC, it's just that their figure quality is so unstable, so I'm not confident enough to believe in this company.
Edit: Just realized that she is 16cm tall after the payment. Tbh I do feel a bit regretted ordering her... The size is a bit too small. But yeah... what I can do now is to wish the company not messing her up this time.

So I’m in love with this and the exhibition pics look very promising but given the price tag, complexity of the design and Union Creative’s track record I’m a bit nervous that it won’t be able to live up to the prototype. I was thinking of cancelling my preorder and looking for her preowned after seeing how she turns out but I can’t tell if the price would go up or if she would be hard to find in the aftermarket. Anyone have thoughts? Do I have a chance of finding her preowned for a few thousand yen cheaper after release or should I just not bother and keep the PO?
