seeing the current photos on the pokemoncenter shop, I don't like it as much anymore. it shines like cheap plastic. well ... it is cheap.

AureaLucretia (6 days ago) #75626951I really wish that Funko would make more designs like these that are based on the actual style of the source material rather than forcing it into the Pop line style with their signature boxy shaped head, big vacant eyes, no mouths, triangle shaped pumpkin nose, and stiff awkwardly posed bodies. Some of the stuff they make make when trying something different is actually quite cute. They could become a great option for affordable and more accessible figures, especially for western shows that don't have a lot of other merch options otherwise.
Sadly Funko Pops still sell very well, so I doubt we'll see any change to the main line. Hopefully if this sells well they'll be open to making similar sets for other series?

I don't hate them but I do agree the noses are weird and I wish they have mouths like some other Funkos. Like the Lapis Funko I mentioned earlier for an example! She at least looks cute.

When Funko stops making soulless figures, then what a surprise, their figures turn out to be good.

Is there literally no way to have them sold outside of US under some kind of international shop (gamestop..) ?

LadyLavellan (7 days ago) #75563987Woe. This..... doesn't look like Funko? This actually looks ..... GOOD?
Really excited to see the rest!

I honestly like few of their figures. Like the later Steven Universe figures for an example. (that actually have mouths) www.funko.com/p... I also like the ones based on creatures such as the Sanrio ones and the Pokemon ones. But yeah, it's nice Funko is still trying new things! Maybe more stuff like this will keep the negative comments away about the company. Just someday.

Can't afford this figure ITEM #806117, so it's nice to see an alternative made by a local company. (by local, I mean by country)

I thought these were like G.E.M EX line. Very surprised to see these are made by funko.
