Kos-mos Re was a special case I believe. She is a legacy character and her importance to XC2 is near to none, the character has had a few scales in the past as well. I heard Kos-mos Re was overstocked and had preorder cancelations due to the beginnings of covid.
XC2 sold more and is continuing to outsell XC and XC:DE so its hard to say if she'll rival the Aegis but I think Melia is a high-demand character especially with FC. I know she is extremely popular among the Xeno community rivaling Seven. Nia will definitely sellout in whatever year she comes out though.
I used to think a Seven figure could never happen because of spoilers, but well...Nia's upcoming figure is a spoiler too so...maybe it's possible.
I'd certainly get one of Seven! Although Melia was definitely my first choice for a XB1 figure.

Huh? I had already switched to Good Smile before you mentioned it lol. It was a total of 22,174 yen shipped from Amazon JP for me. The cheapest shipping method available to the U.S. for a figure of this size from AmiAmi would be surface mail, which would be at least 2,400 yen, likely closer to 3,000 yen so Amazon would be cheaper and way faster.
