Comments Fate/Grand Order - Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) - 1/7 - Avenger (Alter)

  • Klon12 days ago#83366533Unbelievable, it's almost a year since this figure was released. For me it's still one of the biggest disapointments I received from Alter. Haven't pre-ordered a single figure from them anymore since last October and set all my hopes on the Jeanne Alter made by Licorne.
As for getting the damaged peg out: I'd try it with a small screw and pull it out with pliers. For the pins you could drill a small hole and glue the pin inside or heat up the metal pin and sick in into the plastic. At least that would be what I'd try, but Soarin may come up with a better way to do it.

Very sad though, Alter was one of my favorite manufacturers, its Love Live ! line was perfect and gorgeous from top to bottom...

DMY12 days ago#83358181Ah, so it's not just me? That sucks to hear.
I've been trying to get a replacement part, but Alter doesn't do customer support outside Japan, so they suggested I try and get the store I bought it from to contact the distributor. Kinda doubting it'll pay off.
How did you go about sticking a pin in it? If I can get the broken peg out I could try a DIY fix.

Soarin12 days ago#83358009It is pretty common, the material used for the flag is a bit porus and very soft. I put a metal pin through the peg after it broke off. Getting it out of the slot when it breaks is a pain though.

DMY26 days ago#82705457Late to the party, but here's my review.
It's a lovely figure (maybe not $400+ lovely, but hey), but I had a bad experience with the flag's support peg breaking for seemingly no reason. I got in touch with GSC and they basically said "you're on your own pal", so.
She looks okay without the flag, at least. I don't think it's a common defect but I'd watch out for it, nonetheless.

joma2826 days ago#82705626Wait, why'd you contact GSC for this? It's a figure by Alter.
Edit: I don't think GSC is the distributor for this (I could be wrong)

...Y'know, I'm pretty sure you're right. I coulda swore this page said it was distributed by GSC, but evidently not. Maybe I mixed it up with a different figure? I just reviewed Artoria (Lancer) before this and that was a GSC figure, so... whoops?

But now if anything I'm more miffed with GSC because they evidently didn't even look at my support ticket, else they shoulda said "hey bud, that's not our figure". Bah. Best try Alter, then. Maybe I'll have some luck with them.

    Thanks for the correction, anyway!

EDIT: Turns out I'm a headass and GSC aren't involved, so disregard that bit! Gonna see if Alter can help.
