Comments Xenoblade 2 - Homura - 1/7 (Good Smile Company, Max Factory)

  • Would've been nice if people backed their words with actual proof from GSC where they say that "limited" means there won't be re-releases. Even MFC's definition of "limited" does not take that into account.

Right now this sounds like you guys are angry because your own understanding of the word "limited" is different from the one used by MFC and (some) manufacturers.

And I'm gonna agree with Blahh that ordering re-release and then complaining about GSC re-releasing figures is a bit hypocritical.

Blahh13 days ago#95216664B-but sir.. I am very much affected by what you're talking about since I only got them because of the recent rerelease restocking.
Also.. aren't you ordering the rerelease? Why are you complaining again?

It does not matter people get it or not. It is just people not like you. If you just go away, then problem solved.

People are talking about some fact "company are re release something labelled limited". But you are attacking people "other people are piss baby angry". No one likes people like you, that is it.

It is a public forum, so no one can stop you if you still want to be here and make other people feel sick although not welcomed. Also sorry if my words are rude, But i just tell the truth here.

Blahh14 days ago#95179922You're free to believe what you want about the limited tag. I think people whining about a rerelease come off as piss-babies because the original release buyers don't want other people to have a figure that they want. Because that'll drop the monetary value of it.
I'm making an assumption that people are piss-baby angry because the only people complaining about the rerelease are people who have managed to get their hands on the original. Probably at a fair price. Then turning around and crossing their arms because more people now have the ability to get that figure at a fair price. It's not a good look and kind of irritating to see people gatekeep a figure that obviously has such massive demand by acting high & mighty because "the real Xenoblade fans worked SO hard to get this figure and now the people who want it because of Smash get a rerelease >:("
All-in-all if you don't like rereleases that's your opinion and you can stick by it if you want. My opinion is people being negative about rereleases is stupid and makes the people complaining come off a bit stuck-up and gatekeep-y.

As i said, i do not care it is re-released or not. i just think it is reasonable for company to re-release it, and also reasonable for anyone who complains about company not stick to "limited". But i do not understand why there are people think people complaining it not reasonable, that is quite "bullshit"

Demigod_Dan13 days ago#95201760This. The issue is that people like Blahh wish to self-insert themselves into an issue which is completely unrelated to them as they are unaffected in negative ways. A company bait and switched customers with a FOMO inducing 'deadline' (Limited), so said customers who are actually affected (myself included) have every right to express an issue towards that. If you somehow have the need to make it about anything else while ignoring to answer my question of the difference between Standard and Limited and attack me personally instead then obviously people doing that have an issue with themselves, lol.
Incidentally, you can find people like that in droves on 'places' like Twitter

yixi14 days ago#95175324Yeah you can think what you want to think. But others can also think "limited" as real limited.
You can guess all the people are complaining because they want to sell more, think other people are "piss-baby angry" and others can think what you said are "bullshit"
I do understand companies may release some "limited" more than once because they are merchant and what they only care is money. But i do not understand why there are even people think they have a superpower to know what other people are thinking and think other people are "piss-baby angry" because they just want a "limited" figure as "limited".

I'm so glad these two got a rerelease. Pre-ordered both and couldn't be happier. They're pricey but I feel it's well worth it.

Blahh14 days ago#95145134I'm glad you got a figure you wanted. I don't really get the Limited/Exclusive tag as it has lost all meaning nowadays with so many retailers and all that so I don't really care what tag a company has on their figure.
I still think the whole "they shouldn't rerelease it! It's LIMITED!" comes off as a piss-baby angry that more people will have something he/she purchased in hopes that they can brag about owning it/sell it for extremely high prices later. I don't care if they toss away the limited to tear down scalper prices. And why wouldn't they? Were PVC figures ever actually limited? They're not numbered or limited to specific amount of pieces. You can preorder as many as the shop will allow you to and then the company manufactures figures to meet the order amount, no? The figure is technically still limited to the time-frame the preorders are open to.
Might be just me, but I don't care how many rereleases a figure gets because I'm only ever buying a figure because I like it. Not because "It'll be worth more later". In fact I get giddy whenever any super expensive figure gets a rerelease because scalpers get burnt and more people get to get a figure they wanted without being cheated. If you're willing to drop scalper prices on a figure that doesn't mean everyone wants to/can afford to.
The only reason Pyra and Mythra have had so many rereleases is because the demand was high and scalpers were selling them for upwards of $950. That's insane and gross and I'm 100% all for watching scalpers crash and for people to get figures that they like at a fair price.
