Well, looking at the price I have no doubt that ITEM #892401 will cost the same as Prinz Eugen, over 30,000 yen for sure.

HairyHusky10 days ago#90039086Well, it’s because alter use a lot more piece than other companies when they produce their products. There will be a lot more smaller part that needs be be produced and manufactured separately and be putted together for the ship parts. Also look at those gorgeous shading, colors, and small details. Alter cost this much because they can reproduce this kinds of quality to their customer. For example, if you let kotobukiya who is well known for a company with good pricing, if you let them produce this ship part and expect a lesser price, they might only produce around 15 pieces and put them up together for a lesser pricing. But obviously, less pieces means the detailing might not be as great and easier to mess up. Now we go back to alter who is manufacturing this. They would probably need to use 30 or even more separate pieces and built them into one ship part due to their high standards on making good figures, or ship parts. And naturally, more pieces and more details mean more money that they need to throw into making one of those figure. I remember very clearly that Alter’s CEO had explained about these sort of problem in one of his interview but I don’t know the link anymore. Still, I can see how the price can still be lowered by a little but I can also justify this pricing personally.
ahhh that makes a lot of sense, thank you for the detailed explanation

yugyee10 days ago#90037738she is quite pretty but I don't really get why she's about 9000 yen more than the other version? Do the extra parts really add that much cost? Someone who knows Alter well please educate me
