Ito (12 days ago) #53631283Can anyone comment on whether the base of theirs is wobbly/front leaning? My has that problem, but also USPS put a huge hole in the box, so it might just be damage to mine.

Dear lord that is a HUGE hole o.o
but to answer your question: I just got mine a few days ago and the base has no leaning actually it's more sturdy than I would have thought
    Can you show the issue?

If I were you I would try to get a replacement for... obvious reasons

WOW! Great news! I really have no any hope for help in this case...
They ship my replacement by Sal Small Packet Registered.

Thanks, the tracking on mine still hasn't updated yet, but hopefully it'll go out soon!

moonstarfc (21 days ago) #52715459I thought I'd update since you asked.
GSC finally got back to me and said they're sending a replacement! I was surprised about that since I ordered from Nippon-Yasan and not from a partner shop.
They gave me a tracking number for the replacement which hasn't been updated yet. How did they ship yours? By EMS, airmail, or SAL?

Kanda_Im_mortal (28 days ago) #52000506Oh, wow! It looks even worse than in my case. Peg looks fine, but the hole in the head is definitely irregularly shaped around the edge. This does not fix so simple I think. If you only try to heat, but, as you said, it is better to write to them first. Leave a hairdryer as a last resort. Hope they help you!
Please, write than what they say, just for info!

    Finally arrived today~

Her left pigtail wouldn’t go in first try and one the hinges fell out - not broke, fell out. Which is better as I can just pop it in the holes after the rails are in.

The paint doesn’t look as grungy as it was supposed to and her pants definately purple - I think someone got carried away with painting and shading, lol.

    Overall I’m happy though. ^^

Thanks, I wrote to them on the english GSC site, hopefully that was the right place (although Nippon Yasan is a japanese shop). Hopefully they will be able to do something. I think I will stick to buying only from GSC partner shops or GSC's site from now on regardless, just in case I get a figure like this again.

moonstarfc (28 days ago) #52000086Thanks for that, I did see that.
In my case, I believe there is either excess material in the head, or the peg for the pigtail is misshapen. I'm not certain which is actually causing the problem because I'm not sure how they're originally supposed to look.
The excess material in the head would probably have to be drilled or scraped in that case, although like I said, I'm not super comfortable with DIY stuff on figures, so I will contact GSC first and see what they say before proceeding.
(here are photos for reference, for anyone curious)

Kanda_Im_mortal (28 days ago) #51999591No. My copy also had other defects - chipped paint on the hair and a spot on the shoulder. They did not ask me to warm up with a hair dryer, but they asked me to take a photo of the maximum inserted tails and other defects. After that they answered about replace of the body.
Therefore, if you suspect that the hole in her head is rough, has defects and a hairdryer will not help, it is better to write them first.
If we talk about my experience in principle, I recently took advantage of their advice. It really helps. But you have to be careful. In my message there was a link, there is a small instruction on how to heat correctly. This should help!
