Comments Strike Witches - Strike Witches 2 - Perrine H Clostermann - 1/8 (Alter)

  • GarouDensetsu554 years ago#5872487Yeah, sadly, you're right. Im not saying Im perfect but we really should learn to treat each other better. And True about the Otaku. Some of thier rooms make me want to vomit, ugh.
Well, they could add more spells along with character development. But thats just my preference. I like shows with mystical themes but I know SW is a military show first and foremost and thats okay.

Indeed. Everyone acts rudely sometimes, but it seems most of us don't even try to treat others respectfully. Everyone knows how to be respectful, so when anyone acting disrespectfully is choosing to do that. Ha yeah. They're gross. And some people don't even shower for days. Yuck.

Maybe some of the members of the 502nd will have neat spells or abilities they can use. I'm pretty interested to see what they're capable of. And Georgette is just damned adorable.

spasepeepole0264 years ago#5872219It seems that way. People are crude, nasty, evil beings most of the time. It's a shame really.
Indeed, that's what I was getting at. Maybe she's like that so those folks have something more to relate to in the series. I doubt many of they relate to the military aspect, so maybe the creators were going for something to make some of its viewers feel less alienated by the subject matter. Sure there are slobs everywhere, but some of those Otaku are in a league of their own.
For sure. She's very attractive. I love her small features, and her confidence in herself, especially now that she's using her fame and influence for the better of others. That's inspirational.
Hmm. It seems simply flying is a display of their magical abilities, not to mention their shields. Some of them have special skills, but their extra strength and flight abilities seem pretty magical to me. I'd hope only hope that any extra attention given to magic wouldn't take away from the girls' development itself.

GarouDensetsu554 years ago#5848490Yeah, sadly looks have way more heft in life than they should. I wish we humans werent so shallow sometimes. But, yeah, I hear some of the more infamous Otaku in Japan are notoriously messy among other things so that could be some of Erica's popularity since the series is doing the best there. Of course ther are messy people all over. Yeah, I agree with you on Perrine, I love a girl in glasses and the way she carries herself.
Really? I haven't seen the movie but I hope you're right about less fanservice. Heck, I'd love to see the girls dressed in full military getup when not using thier strikers. Id also like to see more of the girls Magic skills. I mean, theyre Strike WITCHES, right?

spasepeepole0264 years ago#5848436Hmm maybe. Looks have a lot to do with popularity in the world of fiction. It even plays a larger than necessary role in real life. Whatever it is, it's a surprise that she's so well-liked. Maybe some of the fans of Witches can identify with her gross lifestyle, if you know what I mean. I've never found her attractive anyway. Perrine is the prettiest one in simple terms of what's physically attractive to me.
I'll say. But I feel like there's a trend moving away from the original fanservice pull. Less and less of it is present in the more recent installments of the series. Of course it's there, but it doesn't seem quite as absurd as it used to me. It even seems like the girl's tops are getting a bit longer, albeit very slowly ;)

GarouDensetsu554 years ago#5847125Yeah, Erica's okay but I don't really see how she became so popular. There's nothing wrong with being laid back but...well, her popularity may be from her looks. I could be wrong but that's my take. But I guess the writers/producers like Perrine seeing as she got quite a bit of development
Yeah. As I said in the Club on here I could do without the fanservice. There's image boards and talented artists for that kind of thing. If the took out the fanservice maybe more people would at least give SW a chance cuz it deserves it. The story's great, the Strikers are an original concept, and the chatacters are great. SW doesn't need fanservice to be good.

spasepeepole0264 years ago#5846825Yeah I think you're right, though Erica doesn't at all deserve to be one of the most popular witches. I guess that's an indication of the other side of the Witches fandom.
Ah yeahs. I wasn't too sure about how she and Lynette would get along, but their relationship has really grown on me. They're definitely cute together, and they seem to work well as a pair, as shown in the third OVA. Either way, Perrine has become a well developed character, much more so than Erica, and other less popular witches.
Indeed. There aren't enough fans of the series that could completely do away with the in-your-face butts and such. There's so much value to the series that those impatient, judgy folks don't see. It surely is a triumph in just about everything it offers that's not fanservice related. It's something that fans of any sort of history can get into, and it works the other way too, which is almost even cooler.

GarouDensetsu554 years ago#5823681Ah, sorry I got it messed up. I agree with you that she should be more popular, then we'd see more stuff for her. I don't think she will ever reach Shirley or Erica level but we can dream.
Haha, yeah, I really did like her from the beginning. Mostly cuz I knew Perrine wasn't being a bee just for the hell of it. She used to work alone and going from solo to team can be a challenge. Plus in the beginning she was just being Tsundere if you're familiar with Anime terms (I'm a nerd, lol). Ironically I dont like real-life bees, I like nice girls and Sweet Perrine is a joy for me. I found her to be quite pleasant in the Sky That Connects Us manga. She and Lynette make good friends.
Yeah, I agree on both fronts. Just having her is worth it. While I have nothing against people who like fanservice I far more appreciate a fan who loves SW for the action-packed, sci-fi/military gem that it is. Of course, my interest in SW is due in part to my love of history and militaria. I learned a lot about WWII's weapons and vehicles from SW.

spasepeepole0264 years ago#5822947Nah that's for sure. I'm just saying it's a shame she isn't popular enough to warrant a higher price. But at least that means adorable Perrine is within reach! Ah really? I'm a much bigger fan of her now that's she's so generous and philanthropic.
Oh I see you already have her! I didn't notice that at first. But at least she's in your home. That's more valuable than any price/deal :) I'll say. The series could use more fans that like the it for the right reasons.

    GarouDensetsu554 years ago#5800247Here, here!
But I don't think a low price is a bad thing at all. Think about it, a cheaper price may sway a newbie to the series, someone who's undecided, or wants to try the figure but not necessarily want to get too far invested. I love Perrine, don't get it twisted. I loved her when she was a snobbish (b)witch and I love her more now. My collection pics and various pictures of her can verify this. But I love saving money even more. Cheaper price means more money for more figures after all :)
For the record, though, I got her two months after release so I didn't exactly get her cheap. But if the current price creates a new Perrine/SW fan like you and I that can only be good.

spasepeepole0264 years ago#5790055She's become an awesome character over the course of the series too. Everything about her has improved, and I'm more of a fan of hers now than I was when I received her figure. I'm sad her figure is selling for such a low price; she deserves better. She's snuck into my top few witches as well :)
