tanaka (3 years ago) #2568403I really like your passion and the technique.
What kind of materials do you use for creating the rocks?
As for the airbrush, do you really use actual paint or watercolour etc? I longed to buy one many years ago but that time the air compressor was very expensive. I could afford it now but I don't have much space to store and to have an 'airbrushing' environment.

I use hydrocal, but I understand there are other type of plaster available it is far cheaper. For mould you can also crumpled aluminum foil to made rocks mould so that each piece has different texture.
As for the air brush I use tamiya acrylic paints though expensive the paint pigments are finer and does not clog the airbrush pen, and the coverage is much better, I do not have a spray booth. For large area I spray in the open space. There isn't a lot of mist if you control the paint quantity on the air gun it self. I paid $900 that time for this silenced air compressor made in Italy, (fridge compressor loudness only) just take care of the compressor oil and it last forever.
Feel free to ask more and I hope to answer all your query. Lol

tanaka (3 years ago) #2565823Yup, I just saw them. Incredible!
You are a real artist. Is that an airbrush? Is it for painting or for model kits?
You bought the rock mold from Art Friend?

tanaka (3 years ago) #256255426th? You mean Dec? I couldn't find any on your FB pages... The latest ones I have seen are dated 17th. New scenes for Kurono no Basket or others?
Seriously, I like your diorama and behind the scenes. Of course there is always room for improvement.
But having seen you creating the tennis basket, the tennis net, the basketball net etc, it really shows that you are at the top tier, at the least. Btw, where do you get your materials? Hobby shops? In Singapore, hobby shops are sort of rare unlike 10-20 years ago. Alot of them closed down in Orchard Rd area.
Oh ya, please let me know if you have new sets if you happen to remember me :)

Yukataonly (3 years ago) #2559708I posted a diorama on the 26th I guess you did not see it, it's quite a small set though.
Your comment is always welcome be it good or bad, it's does help me one way or another.
It's does not reach the top but some like my work. Winning or not does not matter to me, this forum is not about dioramas, it's more of sharing
a hobby. I am new to this as I started only nine months ago.
I try to inform you each time I post
