WOW! Amazing how you take the time to plan out and construct mini landscapes. Show's a different respect for the hobby. Thanks for the photo.

jrgore (3 years ago) #3090609What an awesome picture! I've never seen Hyakka Ryouran, but the work you did taking this picture and the figure itself are quite stunning; congrats!

Thank you. The anime itself is pretty subpar especially the season 2,too much fanservice and lacking action. The landscapes are pretty dull (that's just how the art style is, but there are also good aspects of it), and mostly traditional Japanese theme.

But i don't necessarily design backgrounds to always match the anime. I try to give a figure a background that is one of the most ideal match to their outfit, poses and theme. There are no glaciers or snow-covered mountains in the series. The idea of the mountains here came from the Hollywood movie G.I.Joe where Snake eyes and the ninjas fought at the mountains, swinging and hopping around.

What an awesome diorama and photo composition! I really like the cold atmospehere constructed by the surrounding glacier scene. The contrast of blue background and the red scarf makes the character stands out and I really like her reddish eyelids! :)
