Mao (5 months ago) #22464284As always I'm impressed by your work. Unfortunate I don't like this little chain attracted to that creepy doll. This element just doesn't fit right in my opinion. It's too big for this scale.

Thank you for the feedback. That thing was a keychain
I wonder if I should have made a voodoo doll on my own - not that i know how until i do some research, but that's definitely going to feel like I'm trying to curse someone.

But ignore this one little detail for one second. Great job. In particular all steampunk background items. Little Jack Skellington is so cute. Wall behind her is simply amazing. I'm follow you FB so I know that you did this one yourself. Amazing work. Please continue to show us how self made diorama can look simply brilliant.

Gandalf (5 months ago) #22463445Setup is nice, but the figure kinda blends into the background losing the impact a lot of your other pics have had.

Yes, i agree. Personally i am unhappy with the results but that's the best i could come up with because of 2 factors - budget and misjudgement.

Personally i would have preferred a bigger clock behind and accompanied by a bigger wall spanning horizontally, so that i can push the wall back further for more depth. To make up for the flaw i tried to keep the scene dark and make the figure brighter. I should have widened my aperture more though.

A bigger clock, any bigger, will drive up the shipping costs since it was imported. I misjudged the size of the props required, could have gone wide angle with more depth for more impact.
