Kinaesthetic (1 year ago) #22921175I'd recommend the Ichiban Kuji one over this. That is what I would recommend. The paint job is about on par with Ichiban Kuji figures, but the Ichiban Kuji figures have a much smaller/compact base that also has a nice design on it. And it is my biggest regret not getting the Ichiban Kuji version over the Genco Kirito.
As for what I did with Yuuki Konno, I used this: www.amazon.com/...
Worked out quite well for Yuuki's base as it really fits her theme. I'm actually going to order some of that artificial turn for dollhouses and cut that to fit her base, and have the roses rest on that. And I might do a similar deal with Kirito's if I end up keeping him. If AmiAmi gives me a refund due to the defects though, the Genco one is either gonna be sold real cheap, or chucked in the trash while I purchase the Kuji one.
Also, the lighting is a bit poor. I have never gotten around to getting full illumination on all of the shelves in my custom cabinets. There is only a LED light at the very top, which filters through the glass layers and is bounced off the white backing. I made the cabinets myself.
But overall, I'd get the Kuji one. Otherwise, try and find a good deal on this Genco Kirito.

I personally didnt like the look of the Ichiban Kuji one, so if the paint jobs are roughly the same thats kid of disappointing for this figure. Maybe i'll get this one later on down the track when i have more money for different figures and i'll spend my current money paying off my pre orders xD (Whoops accidentally racked up quite a bit in pre orders)
Thank you for the review though! its really helpful =D

Kiz-xo (1 year ago) #22920695Thanks for the upload =D
His size seems pretty decent, i don't know about the quality though, it could just be the lighting of this photo but he looks cheaply made. i see what you mean about the base too, its extremely plain. (Though i do love what you've done with Yuuki's base, it looksk really good!)
Though overall i do quite like the figure, apart from the paint job errors you described earlier, whats your overall thought? do you recommend him?
