The default base plate was way to big and was overhanging the shelf so I used some solid-plastic-cylinder in my lathe to make a custom size solid plate. I then got a thin metal-rod (around 4mm diameter but I had to grind it down to make it a tiny bit smaller in diameter and length). did some measurements of the default base-plate then Used a drill-press to make two holes the same size (and position) for the two metal-rods to be hammered into the new plastic plate, no glue required, non-permanent (I can switch back to the default plate anytime).

It turns out she already balances pretty well on point so she doesn't loose much stability at all which is good. If you would like to see close-ups or.. you would like me to make you one? PM me.
