If a figure can be displayed without base , then I shall display without base , but some figures must be displayed with base for balancing . For many years even with price increasing , I haven’t seen a company provide base with lights or even rotating ..etc .

How did you get the extra shelves?
Fairly simple - added wire rope clamps in each corner, and extra Detolf glass shelves (purchased extra Detolfs for the shelves, spare parts, etc.)

Thanks for the explanation regarding the lights. You did well hiding all the wires. I think the 45 degree angle is very ingenious and works great. I never thought about doing that.

When I first saw the pic I was tempted to say what warp speed are we doing number 1
It does look JJ Abrams-esque - probably should have Photoshopped in some lens flares :P
Wow! Very nice organization. I'm on sensory overload. Are those lights battery or electrical outlet? I didn't notice any wires.
Lights are mains-powered LED strips angled at 45º instead of straight down / sideways
Wires are there, just very well hidden along the Detolf spines
They run down through 2 holes in the baseboard and out the back
Here's a "behind the scenes" look from awhile ago when I was building up the Detolfs
Painter's tape was removed after gluing the bus wires to the spine
The compartment between the Kallaxes houses all the electronics, and has a removable wood panel covering for concealment / maintenance
What did you make the custom risers out of? And how?
Am going to do a short writeup about them in the near future
They're made out of 4mm thick acrylic, and are very affordable
(about the same as generic risers from the Container Store)

ITEM #396840 is HEAVY and there is absolutely no flex even when she is placed in the middle of the riser!
