Love your style of editing

Of course, I'm always happy to help when possible! Thank you for stopping by, and for your kind words. I really appreciate it!

I hope this helps you in some way! Again I know this isn't incredibly detailed (there are just so many steps that go in to it). I may share more detailed info in my Instagram stories in the future!

rosesandthorns17 days ago#79652020Wow lovely.
If you dont mind, what was your editing process like? I see a nice overlay and some other things but I would love to know what was done.

Thank you so much!

As for the editing process please forgive me. I will try my best to keep this short and simple since a lot of work and steps go in to this process entirely. *I may start sharing my behind the scenes shoots and the editing process in my Instagram stories in the future. I get these types of messages a lot.

*Again keep in mind that this will be summarized focusing on the essential key points of the process. I want to keep this simple and brief.

(I use Lightroom in conjunction with Photoshop)
1. I start in LR, this is where I do basic color grading and adjustments.
2. I then move the photo to PS, this is where the real work begins.
a) First is the cleanup stage, and it is exactly what it sounds like. I use multiple
methods for this, it just depends on what needs to be done. (distractions, dirt, etc.)
b) Next is adding/accentuating highlights and shadows. (Eyes are a main focus here)
c) I then will add color for more interest or if I think that it is needed. (background,
blush, etc.)
d) I applied a warm overlay to this photo. You can find these free with a Google search or
you can make your own.
e) I then will color grade again for any final adjustments.
f) Last thing is to double check all of the previous steps and adjust to your liking.

I hope this helps you in some way! Again I know this isn't incredibly detailed (there are just so many steps that go in to it). I may share more detailed info in my Instagram stories in the future!

Also I was getting messaged on my Instagram asking if the flowers were added via green screen, they are not. I got them at Michael's for 70% off! Props help out a lot too!
