Kino (6 years ago) #971007Wow, are you sure you've just started collecting?! You have a lot of rare items there ^^

Mine already leaned, so I just put a small rubber under the sharp of Ciel's weapon and somewhere around Aoko's left shoe. I know you can figure out a better way lol ;))

Everything you see uploaded here is from this 3-week Japan trip (had roughly 10 random figurines and 6 gunpla prior to this). Pretty much decided that I'd start figure collecting the moment I hit the stores in Akiba - the rare items are probably because I've stuck to Mandarake, Liberty, and other 2nd hand stores. 4 shopping trips in total (last one happened yesterday, yielding yet 4 more Arcueid figures), amounting to roughly 80 figurines and 20 gunpla @_@

Once I'm back home, will probably find myself a nice glass display case and lay them all out together as proper collections instead of these impromptu, incomplete group pictures (like the above), taken between shopping trips before the figures get packed away for shipping. For stabilizing, I've noticed that some of the PVC of the smaller, lower-quality figures are already quite warped and need a bit of bending to fit on the hard plastic bases (some didn't even come with bases at all). I've applied crazy glue in some instances for non-swapping items such as hands and feet when the rubber fit is a bit lose, but I'm skeptical that something permanent like that is a good idea. Read somewhere about soaking the bending part in warm water, un-warping it, then dipping it in cold water to solidify it, but worried that it'd ruin the paint job. Your "small rubber" solution sounds good though I might substitute it with hot glue bits or something else transparent (those solid colour stands or waist supports in some of my figures are already bothering me >_>).

Keripo (6 years ago) #969749What do you recommend? Just started figure collecting (will probably end up buying a display case for all these figures once I'm back from Japan) so any advice is welcome ; )
