I collect mostly video game stuff and a little anime here and there (JoJo, Evangelion, Shonen). I enjoy posing, so articulated figures are my preference. Scales and statues need to be of decent size (1/6 is the sweet spot) and good quality to interest me.
My principle is quality over quantity. I don't want a huge collection, but rather fewer figures that I genuinely love. Any figure I don't love gets sold. Currently I'm planning to cap my collection at 100 figures. I want to take my time getting there. Once I reach that number, I'll curate my collection by selling my least favorite figures before getting new ones.
