Anime adaptations never live up to their VN but please check out the anime if you aren't able to play the VN. It's still the saddest and most beautiful story out there. Maeda Jun's stories and music are amazing. Shimakaze is adorable! I bought her at Comic-Con a few weeks ago. Though I will admit I don't know a lot about Kantai Collection, she was too cute to pass up. I love her! :D
