I just know I'll be absolutely dying to stock up on Nekopara figs once I actually read past the first hour of the VN lol.Yeah I hand washed the clothes. I made the mistake of only washing the black dress originally, wasn't until I got Vanilla and noticed staining on her arms from the black ribbon that I went oh $hit and washed all their shirts as well. I got lucky that on the others it was mostly touching their armbands that have a slight gloss finish that prevented any serious staining, but with poor Vanilla I must have spent a good month slowly bleaching the stains out with benzoyl peroxide.
I've also done much more to pad out any areas that might otherwise be in contact with anything that isn't white since then.
My only remaining concern are the cushions for Vanilla and Chocola, while I've set Chocola up so she's not in direct contact with hers, there is no way to prevent Vanilla from at least having her hair in contact with the cushion, so she's on a paper towel until further notice.
That Coconut figure broke me, I was like just this one, I'm just gonna get this one this one time...then I got her and when I saw her up close there was no going back anymore, my wallet was never the same again xD
No one can blame ya for that haha. She does look gorgeous. Did you have to wash the clothes because of the dye?

I read that article actually! xD
I think I voted for the Chris Farley option lol.
I mean to be real/fair/honest Taiga can break me anytime. Anyways, I still prefer the original bunny, and I got a certified interior designer to assess the colors and design as better than the tiger View spoilerHide spoilerso I get to feel smug about it.
It's been wicked difficult holding back from buying Nekopara figures for sure. I just like the upcoming figures/prototypes so much more. But it's so hard to resist and endure this long time of (personal) Nekopara scarcity haha.
BTW saw one of your comments on a "scary four-letter word" figure and wanted to give you a +1

Very nice collection! :)
Because I was inspired by these beautiful videos like this one. Time for me to mod a ripped Peter Griffin model.A Chris Farley UTAU could be your greatest contribution to humanity! But Oh my God, what if you create Farleyenstein's monster?

View spoilerHide spoilerThe forced censorship rule completely killed my enthusiasm for using MFC. I had a bunch of articles planned, two big ones in particular with my egg-laying harpy girl on the way and another (SFW) statue shipping soon. I just discovered that one of my Chinese figures (ok I bought it for my husband so it's technically his, but still) has a glow-in-the-dark feature underneath her skirt. My initial impulse was to take photos, but upload them where? This shithole? Ugh...
I've only had 15 photos deleted so far but I'm sure there will be more. Hilariously one of the sets of photos was for ITEM #8464. But here's the thing, there's another version of her here ITEM #1373 that doesn't include the loli. So even the photos of just this same girl was deleted, because that's how fucking stupid this whole situation is. Also I find it odd that they are going after the old and obscure figures first, this one is from 2008, the others are from 2004...those are much less likely that someone will even stumble across them by mistake.
Anyway, I really appreciate all of the research you did for stain removal! I actually just discovered one of my figures has a NASTY stain from her black fabric skirt (a Chinese mobile phone holder which I swear I had a photo of on here somewhere but can't find it now). I didn't even think to try it until literally just now, but I have some Dream Rescue cream made for Dollfie Dreams. I'm not sure of the ingredients in it but I suspect it contains benzoyl peroxide. I never actually had to use it for my DD (since I was paranoid about staining and super careful), but you're supposed to reapply it several times and wrap it with film to prevent it from drying each time. Since DD's are partly made of vinyl they're more susceptible to staining, so I'd imagine it's even more effective for PVC.
I'm a little wary of the sunlight exposure you mentioned since that can cause yellowing, so I'm thinking if you use that stuff in a similar way that Dream Rescue is supposed to be used you might get good results without having to do that.
I'm actually surprised that you managed to remove the staining from Vanilla's arms, that's good news! And may I suggest another DD item for those kinds of areas, Skin Protect Tape (comes in 3 colors I think but I personally wouldn't have it showing anyway). It's nice for stuff like sleeves because you can't see it while she's dressed and it protects her from the staining clothes.
Washing clothes in baking soda is a new one for me, I've only heard of adding vinegar, but I haven't tried it so who knows. It's certainly worth looking into.
And I'm definitely interested in the update regarding removing a scratch, as I do have a figure or two with some scratches that I'd love to remove. I also have a friend who I gave a figure (because I bought her as a sukumizu figure not realizing it wasn't skirted, gross). I advised him to be careful with the removable apron (PVC), well he fucked up and left a big scratch on her belly area, poor thing. So it would be nice to help him out with that.
To be honest you're one of the few good things on MFC right now that still makes me smile, I always look forward to your comments when I get a notification that you've quoted me. I don't mean to be a downer, it's the certain death of MFC combined with some life events that are pretty challenging for me right now so I haven't been as active as I'd like to be. You're a positive force! Please keep it up, I need it.
