My favorite series is Fullmetal Alchemist (the manga) and I mainly collect things from that. Although occasionally I'll pick something up from another series if I really like the character.

I've also recently started to focus on collecting stuff with Natsume Takashi from Natsume Yuujinchou.

Favorite anime series are Mushishi and Princess Tutu but I don't actually have much merchandise from either.
