About

I'm a simple man... call me an Idol Hell Dweller if you wish.

Vocaloid Hero by acclamation not by action!

Interest: anime, trains, modelism, history, archeology, architecture & astronomy.

Watching animes since 1986, watching religiously animes since 2002, wasting my pathetic life on animes since 2009, thinking animes is truly shit since 2015 yet still liking them...

Mainly interested in garage kits. Many of them aren't listed in the database.

I collect figures and paint garage kits since early 2003, focusing mainly on bishoujo from animes I really liked (often old school) or particularly hated and thereof developed fondness (probably some case of Stockholm Syndrom!). My preference goes for larger scales such as 1/7, 1/6, 1/5 and 1/4. I have a sweet spot for sailor fuku, but that's a given.

As my collection slowly but surely grows, a few trends are emerging:

1) Characters from old school animes I loved (habitually pre-2000 titles)
2) Cheezy idols
3) Modern harmless moe bishoujos
4) Conversation pieces (mildly sexy bishoujos; bikini, armor, etc.)

If it's old, it's good!

BTW, Likantz Seaberry is the best loli. It's a shame no figure of her.

sailormatlac (11 months ago) #16984815Yes, I do remember clearly! You had a formidable GK output! Personnaly, I can't believe it will be 15 years I'm in this hobby next month... it was yesterday!
I no longer follow the boards but I recently posted about a GK I finished and some folks from the good old times were still active. There is no boards I used to frequent that is not dying right now.
Haha I've slowed my building so much these past few years it's almost shameful. Luckily not much catches my eye and is a must-buy anymore since I've pretty much stopped watching anime so instead of bookcases full of unbuilt resin I only have one shelf :p

Forums are a dying breed which is a shame because I've found so many good tutorials and made friends from them. I know that Facebook's GK groups are pretty active (are you on there?) but other than that there aren't many options :( I don't like having to follow tons of people and 10+ websites to get content, so annoying lol

This is going to sound bizarre and out of the blue but I was looking through E20's old forums for some clear skin tutorials and recognized your username right away. I had no idea that we were both on that forum at the same time back in the day haha. And it seems like those boards are still kind of active?! How time flies...

sailormatlac (2 years ago) #3339757Ah! That question!!!! It's not always an easy job. An architect has to control many aspects from design to budget and on site crisis gestion. I won't say it's wonderful everyday, but I wouldn't see me somewhere else. Architecture school is a crazy place to be, but still a fun one. I had a great time. The only down side is that we have very little room to really use all our skills and ideas. I was a little bit too much idealist about changing thw world! Architecture school and real life are totally opposite. If you love city planning, that can be a very interesting job for you. That's probably what many cities lack. I always find playing SimCity and Tycoon helped me to have a global view.
I always had a soft spot for SimCity 2000. I started on the original, but 2000 was my favorite one. For some reason, I never was that excited with the newer versions. I didn't play SimCity since a decade (would be fun to give it a try). Few years ago, I started to play on Open TTD and always try to make cities grow and merge together. My goal would be a 100% humanized map!

Thanks..
I wonder what lies ahead of me :D
You should def try new city building games. They are some new ones and they have much more options check out Cities:SKYLINES I didnt play it yet but game looks super fun :D
