14 days ago - DarkButterflyI was a bit nervous buying someting from a new webbsite since i almost only buy from amiami or yorokonde.de. But HobbyLink Japan had a great prices , shipping options and a great selection of hard to find toys, so i went for it. And i am happy that I did, everything went smoothly and I got my item way cheaper than I thought I would.
Don't be afraid to buy from this site, it is great!

25 days ago - NgejoA good store with a nice selection of goods and competitive prices for most of the items.
Shipping is fast and the products are neatly packed.
Their way of automatically deducting your next order with the bonus points you've gained from your previous order is also very convenient.
Also, their private warehouse system is a pretty notable option, while I wouldn't use it (Indonesian customs would fuck me over on this through taxes) but I do feel that the option of having all of your items purchased in multiple orders through a 30 days period combined in a single order is a nifty idea.

2 months ago (Updated 2 months ago) - moonescapeI shopped here a couple times since 2010. I recently did do an order for a set of Bungo Stray Dogs keychain set, but it's been months and only a couple weeks ago I realized it never arrived to me. They never e-mail me back if the item was sold out and I recall they did charge me, but never refunded me. They could've at least let me know if it was sold out or if they actually did refunded me. Other than that, I just wish they had more selection.

We'll never charge a customer until their item is available, so if you believe you've paid for an item and didn't receive it, something is certainly wrong. Would you mind reaching out to our customer support team (email@example.com) from your registered email address so we can look into this for you? If a refund is in order, we'll be able to help you with that.

2 months ago - mimicteixeirais my store of choice when i want to either pre order things or model kits, they carry a lot of model kits there and i haven't had any problem with shipments, but i always use ems so that's may be why, and i like the private warehouse

1 year ago (Updated 2 months ago) - yolsyncOnly once I did a pre-order with them and not me want to do it again because they didn't respect this pre-order, they had out of stock. Never in life.
Edit: I gave a second chance to the store and I have not been disappointed again, fortunately, and their shipping prices are really fair and cheap yet with EMS.

9 months ago (Updated 5 months ago) - magumfire23They automatically combined my two orders, which I purposely left separate for cheaper shipping, without even first sending me an invoice before doing so. Also since I (stupidly) believed they were a decent company, used the paypal billing agreement and thus got charged an extra 2500 yen on shipping since it combined them. Along with that since I have already paid for it they said they can not provide any assistance. How stupid is that? Can't provide help because you have already paid?
Honestly just a complete garbage company. If you want to buy from them expect ZERO help.

Please note that as stated in our Help Center ( (link) ) we will attempt to combine separately-placed "Ship When Available" orders if they are placed close together, or were ordered at different times but come into stock at the same time. If you do not want orders to be combined, we recommend selecting "Private Warehouse" as your handling method.
We're happy to help in any way that we can, but the shipping process is largely automated and we're limited on what we can do to an order at that stage.

6 months ago - Belle_ReveI've been using HLJ for over a decade. Usually I try to order/pre-order from them when I'm looking for something, but they have a tendency to not get a lot of stock, so they sell out pretty quickly. But I only go elsewhere when I can't get it here. Shipping is relatively decent considering what overseas shipping is nowadays, and they always properly pack their items so they won't arrive damaged. Their customer service is incredibly quick to respond to you when you're inquiring about an order.

- 87%From a Longtime Customer
6 months ago (Updated 6 months ago) - R_KasaharaBeen shopping at HLJ for over ten years. Their customer service is better than most (just contact them in a timely manner), and their Private Warehouse shipping system is unbeatable. Their regular prices are decent, but sales can be hit or miss. They ship in heavy-duty cardboard boxes with shrinkwrap and air cushions, which get the job done.
My main issue with HLJ is that they are known to cancel preordered items, often popular ones, without warning because they can't get enough in stock. Though this has happened to me only rarely, it's worth keeping in mind before preordering a hot item.

8 months ago - LyI use HLJ very often. All items arrived well packed and fast (no matter which shipping method I chose).
Also I love their private warehouse system where you can easily store available paid items for up to 60 days to ship them later with other items. It's easy to use.
Sometimes they fail managing their stock probably, so you can (pre-)order items which are already sold out. You won't be charged, but you also don't get a message about it.
