- Good shipping carriers and products, SLOW shipping timesI've got 3 orders with them at the time of writing this. 1 has been delivered, took 5.5 months to receive. One was a preorder, which they send you the bill for once it arrives in their warehouse. I only choose the sea saver option to mail to US, and once it arrives here it goes through UPS. Great shipping company to go through, but it is a bit expensive. Last order I am completely unsure of it's status. I've paid the shipping and everything, and it's said Processing Shipping for the past 3 months, so I'm assuming it's in transit somewhere, but unable to actually track it.
The only real big negatives I can think for Amiami are:
-Their site is terrible. TOM has a far better site to navigate, hopefully Amiami keeps trying to make the site better.
-Their updates on shipping. I NEVER receive a notice when something ships from JP, and only get the notice once it arrives in the US. So for 4-5 months it sits on their site as "Processing Shipping" then will just be in the US one day.
-Their shipping speed is super slow.
-Payment options. Being from the US, I have 1 option, Paypal. So my cost is determined by whatever Paypal decides their current exchange rate is.
- Great Prices, Bad Customer ServiceThey have excellent products with excellent prices, but they have terrible customer service. My item came three months late and when it finally arrived, it was damaged beyond belief. I mean, my order must have been submerged completely in water at some point. They told me there was nothing they could do. They didn't even ask to see the photos I took of it. I have been a loyal customer for years, but that apparently means nothing. I understood that I took the cheapest shipping, but they basically just shrugged and told me to pay more if I wanted compensation next time. I would recommend shopping elsewhere if you want a store to stand behind their services.
- Shipping is a little overpriced. Box is not in mint conditionA little disappointed that the kotori box is not in mint condition. This is the first time I've ordered from amiami. Same thing happened to my yoshino nendo box as well. Not sure if this is a manufacturer fault because both of the boxes are the same way. I've ordered from other companies before and every single time my boxes are just perfect :/
- Some awful experiences, but overall still goodMy feedback is not representative.
The first item I ever bought from amiami was an A/B item, it was opened before and has major paint defects, nothing you could call "as new", not even close. Customer support doesn't answer.
The other orders were new products, no real problems except the occasional visit at the customs office.
Maybe I was really unlucky, but in the future I'll stick to Jungle or Mandarake when it comes to used figures.
