Added 5 new sellers!Hi guys, I noticed that the Club Room's list of Ebay sellers hasn't been updated in at least a year so I decided to compile every seller that has been mentioned to sell bootlegs and put them in a list in the forums. Some sellers may no longer be active since they left or were banned, but it is impossible for me to check each one since they could have been on Ebay.ca, Ebay.uk, Ebay.com, Ebay.de, etc. I've also added a lot of new sellers to this list, primarily from Ebay.com and Ebay.uk. These users may sell figures, plushes, keychains, etc. I know we primarily focus on figures here, but don't be afraid to list a seller that has other bootleg goods!

Please keep in mind that not every bootleg seller is listed here - if you aren't sure about a product post in here so myself or other members can help you confirm if the product you want to buy is a bootleg.

Some common signs of bootlegs and a bootleg seller:

• Price too good to be true (e.g. $40 USD for a figure that normally retails for $100-$150 USD)
• Shiny, fake plastic looking skin or parts
• Noticeable seams, details seem to be missing, parts may not be molded correctly, eyes look different than original figure
• Lack of a holographic sticker (may or may not be true, some official products lack official stickers as well)
• Jointed figures (Nendoroid, Figmas, Figuarts...) may appear loose or like they're about to fall apart
• Seller lists other known bootleg products or other large amounts of cheap merchandise (jewelry, electronics, etc.)
• Seller's username is a combination of random letters/numbers (e.g. 1327198, xmg50427867-4)
• Listing does not state the company or that the figure is legitimate. They may use phrasing such as "China version, China original, China homegrown product", terms such as "new PVC statue, PVC figure, 100% High Quality Brand New", or nothing at all

When in doubt a good way to check is to check the item listing on MFC. We use official product photos on our pages and if a figure has a known bootleg there will be red text that says Counterfeit. If you click on that red text it will take you to any bootleg photos we have uploaded of that product so you can compare them.

Well, was it shrink-wrapped when you got it? Does the game play correctly? The seller's in the U.S. and they don't seem to have a huge record of selling bootlegs so it may be a scam...but it certainly isn't how they described it. I'm not sure if I should put this name up there or not O_o

Are you sure figure_shop sells bootlegs? They put "Authentic" On their item listings and they can get in serious trouble with ebay if they lie.

Actually, no, I'm not sure. I don't have time to go through each seller on multiple Ebay portals so I trusted the comments people put in the club room (BluRay said they were on page 16, but it was nearly a year ago). Looking at this store now it doesn't seem to sell bootlegs but they may have in the past. I've removed the seller for now. If you notice any more errors in sellers please let me know :)

I purchased a set of trading figures from seller estertool and they were most definitely legit. They were good quality, the boxes were printed without any mistakes and they had the official manufaturer stickers.
I don't know if some of the items they sell ae bootleg or not but for sure some of them are legit.

Hmm, I'll put a note next to the name and affiliated accounts. I wish more people could confirm buying from these sales, sometimes it's so hard to judge lol

it was shrink-wrapped but the hinges and barcode were burnt like comon? not only that he told me that the guy who owned this got it free from the company and he bought it off of him ... if you get games free from the company i dont think the company would burn the barcode in circles like that... ?

Seller had some negative feedback busting on them for selling bootlegs. Also saw that really reeealy ugly fat looking Boa Hancock in her wedding dress bootleg, along with another listing for the same item using legitimate pictures. Both for the same price!!!

They have figures that are highly bootlegged, at low prices. Yet they have figures that are not bootlegged.

I would beware of this shop. They say they are from japan, however, some items say they are from china.

That seller is already on the list, but I will put a note they sell some authentic items.
