there are lots of buyers who are like that. ie, can you hold it for me, take some photos..and then they aren't interested. some people are just generally annoying to deal with. but i guess you can't really give negative feedback for them since you haven't transacted as such.

Ordering the same figure twice by accident and not getting your vacation has nothing to do with the buyer. What the potential buyer did may not be responsible, but they are not obliged to buy from you at all, even if you went through the effort of trying to make a sale. This is something you as a seller should understand; you hit empty targets at times and not every customer will treat you equally.

    ....first world problems.

i consider a transaction to have occurred when they've actually sent you money. or unless you got them to sign some sort of legally binding contract to buy the figure without scaring the crap out of them about why you want them to sign such a contract.
once they've sent you the money and you, hopefully, have sent them the figure then you can leave feedback about slow payment, etc.

guys its MY negative experience =\ I dont ask if you think it is or not ... to me a buyer should buy when he says he would and anyways I learned from this experience and wont reserve figures anymore but to me that seems like a fake buyer and fake buyers are also negative ;)

the problems that came from it got nothing to do with the buyer but im just stating thats my extra dissapointment... ( I didnt look well enough and bought 2 same figures )

tl;dr: Be very wary of doing business with Chelly.

Chelly contacted me regarding a sale I had posted here on MFC. We arranged to meet on Sunday July 14th between 11am and 11:30am somewhere that worked out for both of us. I arrived at 11am by motorcycle and waited for Chelly to arrive, he texted that he was almost there so I waited in the parking lot. Twenty minutes pass before he actually arrives and I'm sweating because the temperature outside is among the hottest days we've had all summer and there's no shade anywhere. All of this is acceptable because he arrived within the time frame we agreed, and I was just too optimistic with what 'almost there' meant.

What was not acceptable was what followed. We agreed ahead of time that the figure would cost $90 (originally posted at $95), Chelly brought $100 and I did not have change, I wasn't expecting to. Chelly decided he would go into the mall to exchange one of his $20 bills for two $10s, I waited outside because that seemed like it should take all of 30 seconds, another 20 minutes passes and Chelly finally calls me to tell me that he can't break his $20 because the mall isn't open. I suggested he go to the LCBO the landmark we used to meet at, which is attached to the mall and opened and he says he can't (Why? I don't know), I suggested that I would send him $10 via PayPal and he says he doesn't use PayPal.

At this point Chelly has wasted 40 minutes of my time, plus arriving early before the plans I had for the day. I was trying to do Chelly a favour by delivering the figure to him, as it was on my way and it would save him shipping. Chelly however would not pay the extra $10 above agreed price, despite it being cheaper than having shipped it in the first place as well as only $5 difference from my original asking price and finish the deal. He then has the audacity to ask if I could come back another time. I say that that's not possible and suggest that the figure is now $100 for him. He decides that he would NOT buy the figure, thus wasting even more of my time, and further causing issues for the rest of the day as I now had to lug the figure along in the limited storage space a motorcycle has. Potentially damaging the figure in the hot sun for the rest of the day.

Additionally, he has cost me a lost sale due to the above, because I could not sell an already 'sold" figure.

I will not be doing any business with Chelly in the future. And because of Chelly's actions, I will not be doing new figure collectors any favours by dropping off an item because they happen to be close by somewhere I'm going. It's not worth my time or effort when shipping is only ~$15-20.

I agree with that somewhat, but not always as some people really put you through a lot. I had an issue with someone here last year that I keep meaning to post about but haven't yet. Held the items for 2 months, taking photos, various weight adjustments, over the course of 40 PMs, and they forced me to refund them in the end because of buyers remorse. There is such a thing as a flaky buyer that is a waste of time to deal with in the eyes of people who do business, and it's good to know of those people. They are usually banned in LJ communities with selling/buying in mind.

given that you've said this now, why isn't there any buyer feedback system? posting here is fine, but it's not practical or easy to use to check up on your buyers/potential buyers.

    Feedback for STARlock:
I paid for him immadiately and I paid for his f*cking paypal fees too. I asked him about 1 month later if he know something about my package. He gave me some lies that someone shipped my Ranma (girl type) figure (no tracking number of course) and he tried to contacted to him. And then 4-5 months later I don't have any clue about the package. He lied that he will try to go to the post office and get the money back. I tried to contact him later and he never reply anymore. I hope he will get the same thing from the LIFE. I hate him!

Said they had the money and could pay right away. Then ghosted me for a week. Then said they could pay on Saturday. After which they said they would pass.

    Avoid at all costs.

    dogs547895 as a seller.

Received aliexpress-bought $5 bootleg plushies that I paid $60+ for while thinking I would receive these soft vinyl figures as dogs547895 had listed in their 'for sale' lists and commented on the figure page: KuruKuru Green and KuruKuru Purple. Looking back I realize that was likely the reason for not listing them in official ads, removing their 'for sale' list/comments, and their strict all-caps 'No Returns/Refunds/Exchanges' policy. ie. in the off-chance that some items being sold were bootleg/fake, they hold no liability; and the buyer gets screwed.

Below is a quick summary of the dispute with PayPal that I have opened up:

MeI would like a full refund of the item I purchased through a collector's club site that supports the sale of collectible anime/Japanese goods/merchandise by site members (myfigurecollect...). The items received were bootleg/fake versions of the official merchandise items they were said to be. The seller listed the linked items below and showed that that was the item they were selling (false advertising), through the feature on the site that allows people to link item pages with their ads: (ITEM #198939) and (ITEM #198938)

What I instead received was the pictured items attached. Any attempt to ask for pictures or confirm details that the items were indeed same as the ones listed was denied or answered very vaguely. When I asked for pictures of the items, the seller said that they were 'already packaged'; when I asked if they were indeed made of soft vinyl, the seller did not answer the question asked several times and instead said 'I don't know' or 'it seems plush or soft to me'. I took it upon faith and trust in the community so I assumed it was a language communication thing rather than avoidance. Upon asking for a refund and to return the items I was shut down and denied with a 'sorry, no returns policy' even after a detailed explanation on my part hoping it was just a communication error and they would honor acknowledging their mistake. After all this I can only conclude that I was duped into buying fake/bootleg merchandise under the guise of being officially licensed collectible products, which is illegal.

I really hate doing things like this, I feel icky doing negative reviews, but I hope I never have to do it again.

Did they ask you pay via friends+family on Paypal? I'm not sure if MFC still adds names to the scammer list on here, but PM 4ARND and let him know(he used to run the scammer list for users on here)

Yup, they did. I never ask buyers to do that for things I'm selling, it protects both parties that way.

Okay thanks, I came back to an 'alert' on me, the seller reported me with a single sentence saying that I was scamming them, like lolwat. I have already shipped back the items, at my cost, and don't even know if they'll try to pull something like saying they didn't receive the package. Waiting to see how this turns out via PayPal dispute, ughh...

Ughh oh no :/ yeah always be wary when a seller ask you to pay via friends and family...almost always sketchy. Did you take photos before shipping it back to them? I've heard stories of sellers saying their items were returned "damaged" and won't refund! Either way hopefully PayPal is on your side and it'll be over soon!
