    I just had a pending refund pop up in PayPal for one of my nine open orders yesterday, Oct 2nd, and it was a $300 one from February that the time to dispute though PayPal had already expired, so that is a huge relief. I did email them yesterday asking refunds on all my orders, though I am not sure if that actually did anything or not. I also opened disputes with the 6 most recent orders yesterday, but have not escalated them.

    I sent A-I a detailed email advising the 3 invoice numbers, corresponding amounts in each 10-2-17 and also advised I was turning in 3 claims via Paypal with no offense intended re business shutdown(??). As yet A-I has not responded and Paypal has given me a suggested schedule when to escalate if I or they do not hear from A-I. I do have to do something before Oct.22 (escalate, capitulate) or Paypal will close the cases and I will be SOL.

    This same scenario occurred with MH Toyshop. MH paid the lesser claim right away but I had to escalate higher claim via Paypal Resolution Center overview which did reimburse my cc 4 weeks later.

    There's a reason 96% of my PO's are Japan direct. Looks like it will be rounded up to 100% from here on.

    I plan to open a Paypal dispute, but I have one question. To contact Anime Island, if they're even returning emails, how would I get a hold of them? Just use the email that I was given when I ordered my figure?

    Yeah, that's kind of why I'm hesitant to post it. :/ I just want to get some answers.

    That said, if you've ordered from them in the past, you should be able to find it easily.

    I tried calling their number but got nothing. It's day 3 since I sent my email and I have yet to receive any sort of refund. I'm starting to think I might have to open a dispute/do a chargeback after all...

    Had ITEM #363376 Bikini Warriors Cleric on order with them and paid in full, $140 down the drain. Still waiting for the CC company to process my chargeback and hopefully it goes through because it was over 6 months ago. This really sucks.

    I sent the seller messages through PP today, if I don't hear back soon, I'll escalate.
    You only have like 2 weeks after contacting them to do so, so be careful!!!

    I just called the phone number listed on their PayPal info. It didn't pick up, and a machine said "Sorry this mailbox is full."

    They are probably getting flooded with mail. I just sent PayPal messages too, gonna wait a bit and then have it escalated. : (

    I didn't think they'd disappear.. . I had received a shipment from them like last month or smth.

    Good riddance, Anime Island was a terribly ran site and they always had problems shipping Pre-orders. Their customer service was non-existent, and they would attack people when questioned. How PayPal let AI continue to run after all of those disputes over the years beats me

    I would like to know this as well. It sounds like many people's PayPal refunds are going through okay, but all my preorders with them are on a card, and I haven't heard anything since emailing them on Monday afternoon.

    I have 5 outstanding orders, all paid with a credit card. They only refunded my two most recent orders and have yet to respond to my request from Sunday to refund the three older orders, two of which are very large.

    I had 4 refunds from Anime Island on Paypal that were supposed to have gone through today, but Anime Island Cancelled them this morning. They had initiated the refund on their own, but then cancelled it.
    I called Payapl, and disputed those orders since they were in the 6 month window. Unfortunately I still have many orders that are past the coverage period, so I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would recommend that everyone who hasn't received their refunds do the same. This is their website: www.bbb.org/con...

    You also need the address for Anime Island which I found online:

    I also found multipe phone numbers for them:

    Uh oh. I'd been waiting patiently, but refunds failing sounds the alarm to finally file my own dispute through Paypal. Luckily I only had one pre-order left with them for Figuarts Sailor Pluto (fully paid) as I had a large order shipped from them back at the end of August. It's going to be a real pain getting Bandai exclusives for decent prices now.

    Thank you. My friend was saying some stuff about how it is illegal for a seller to take money and not deliver a product. And since there's a lot of customers it could be made a Class Action suit. But this stuff is way over my head...

    Which number did you use? When I search for them, nothing shows up as being registered on the site yet.
