Poll Design

Discussion regarding poll design (e.g. features, guidelines/standards)

I contemplated whether or not to include unreleased figures as selections. I am not sure if their newness creates bias and skews the results. Perhaps we can revisit some of these polls in the future as new releases come out.

I kind of like including them as long as the figure is essentially finalized and we have pictures of the final form; particularly of interest for those looking to just buy one figure of the character, so they may wait/preorder.

When selecting which items to include in the poll I usually look first at the MFC sort order (most page hits), then there is a bit of subjectivity in terms of providing variation (e.g. only list one version if variant exists, try to limit similar looking designs). I also try to be aware of popular new releases that may not have been around long enough to amass page hits.
