My first scale figure purchase from them was great. Both box and figure are in great conditions. Mind you this figure had extremely delicate and fragile pieces so I was impressed.

A lot of their items say second-hand but look brand new, the Pokemon plushies I bought even had their tags on. So far they have not disappointed.

A lot of their items say second-hand but look brand new, the Pokemon plushies I bought even had their tags on. So far they have not disappointed.They are used because most items were bought from customers in physical shops and inspected by a clerk. So the shop can't say they're brand new.
Suruga-ya has some brand new stuff ordered by them from manufacturer and takes preorders.

I ordered few prizes from them and only one had seals broken and probably repacked. The figure looked like new, without specks of dust.

You can ship your order to one of Suruga shops (several dozens in big cities) and it will wait there for a week for you to collect. More here.

Heads up - orders to tenso appear to be blocked right now, been like that since Friday or so. Anyone else using any other proxies that are working? Already forwarded my order to Goody instead, but no idea if only tenso is being blocked right now or if it's proxies in general. Will probably know once Goody gets around to placing my order.

Just tried entering a friend's address and the order proceeds as normal, but when using my tenso address, I get an error message when I click the button to enter the actual payment information during checkout. Already contacted their customer service, but currently waiting for a reply. Will also ask tenso if they're aware of anything.

Doesn't seem to work for me either, also tried with Tenso's address. I'll have to try out another proxy :/

So since Surugaya has essentially blocked all forwarders (tenso, BiJ), and does not work with Buyee, is there no way to purchase from them other than using a per-item fee proxy?

I haven't had any issues with BIJ (placed an order back on 2/24 and just today 3/19).

Normally when there's an issue, it won't let me proceed to pay, but now I'll wait to see if they send me a confirmation email or not.

As for proxies that don't charge per item, Treasure Japan is my go-to. But their % fee system can add up quite a bit.

Their system always seems to have some hiccups with forwarding addresses after the site goes through maintenance, so hopefully they don't have any permanent plans to block them in the future. ;;

Also wanted to let you know Suru sent me an order confirmation email this morning and I can see they have a payment hold on my PayPal, so looks like everything is still working fine. So hopefully your order goes through this time too!

So depending on how rare/common the item you want is, it may restock sooner or later.

So Suruga-ya has completely cut ties with Buyee/Tenso? That really sucks, I was eyeing some CDs from them, a few of them being on sale right now. I figured I could ship them with another order from Rakuten.

The shipping fees on their own international site are horrendous, the only available methods here being either EMS or DHL, and doesn't feature their sales. My other proxy of choice, FromJapan, charges a fee per item, rather than per store like Buyee, so I'd really like to avoid them.

Did the Tenso address ever unfuck itself? I wanna do a small cd order in a few weeks either way but really really don't wanna use neokyo.

Have any of you ever used JapanRabbit for Suruga-ya? I think the service is digging up non-existent (but very nice prices) for stuff I'd like.

I know Suru has a reputation for being slow, but their international site is really fast. My order shipped the day after I placed it. It could be because I only ordered one item, but it's a surprise because even when I used to order only one thing through a proxy or get something forwarded, they were really slow.

I had missing items in a figma (wasnt stated in listing) and I ended up getting a partial refund from Surugaya themselves. I could help with some translation for customer service if you need it.

Here's some photos of her box. It's a bit beat up, but this was why she was "B Rank" on Suru.

And here's photos of her. The biggest giveaway is that she wasn't screwed into her base and popped right out of it, along with her foot. Also lots of flaws (and her negligee is oddly sticky/gooey)
